Run 1:38:00 [4] 14.5 km (6:46 / km)
ahr:133 max:169 weight:66kg

Dumyat run from home at mid-day.
Glad of the stiff easterly breeze, at least until I started climbing into it!
Tired and heavy legged but determined to bag a long'ish run today.

Then on to the Safari Park for the afternoon! And a Bar-b in the back yard after..... what Bank Holidays are for!

Orienteering 45:00 [4] 5.8 km (7:46 / km)
ahr:140 max:164

Over to my favourite wood - Sauchie to do the Light Green course. 3.5 k in 32 - not going that well - tired from my holiday and just running on compass and not reading the map - didn't help that I had contacts in (first time ever) and my eyes were watering big time.
Another great sunny day.
Some quality time back in terrain.

Run 1:09:00 [4] 12.7 km (5:26 / km)
ahr:140 max:167

A run up through the reserve at Aryundle near Strontian, climbing slowly uphill to an old mining settlement before returning back to meet up with Janine and Matthew. Took in an extra loop to enjoy the oak woods and scenic rviver walk. Fabby. But hot!

Note

Just back from a very memorable family holiday at Kentra Bay on the east end of Ardnamurchan, west coast of Scotland.
Caravan sleeps 4 for £175 for the week all in!
Had some most excellent walks with the family and bike rides - including a ride to the Singing Sands, Sanna Bay (well worth driving to the west end of Britain for) and Arisaig - lots of sandy beaches, almost wall-to-wall sunshine and lots of fresh air and magnificent views of the Sunart Oakwoods.

I didn't miss the JK...... just the Gossip!

Run 1:10:00 [4] 11.2 km (6:15 / km)
ahr:137 max:164

Another great one-way run from Laga to Acharacle across the hills. Plenty of climb at the start on this one but on a real nice track, went cross country at the end into some great natural woodland to finish in the village.
Another red hot day.

Run 54:00 [3] 8.3 km (6:30 / km)
ahr:141 max:164

A quality run along the coast.
Having done a walk from Portuark to Sanna and back with matthew in the backpack I then ran back over the route and kept going across country and round the coast until I picked up an old drovers track that took me to where Janine was meeting me.
Red hot day, tough marshy conditions off-track but a great run across Sanna Bay.
