Road Bike long 2:30:00 [4]

On a much improved day I suggested the idea of doing a really nice cycle loop in the Trossachs. Setting off from David Marshall Lodge the ride went into Aberfoyle along Loch Ard to Loch Arklet, then onto Stronachlacher and round Loch Katrine on the "closed to traffic road" to the Steamer car park and then up over Duke Pass to finish. What a day, what views, brilliant! I had chosen to do the ride with two nutters though - one is lined up to do the Etape Ecosse next weekend (VirginVet) and the other the Etape de Dale (FatKev) and boy can they climb!
Nevertheless they looked out for me and it was a brilliant ride. Great lunch (with mega discount!) at the Lodge after where we met the waddling wifey's and Dawn & kids. Great day!

Walk 1:00:00 [1]

A really dreich day, the rain didn't relent in Dunblane. But that didn't stop a hardy group getting out for a walk round the village and to the plant sale, whoop, whoop!

Orienteering 1:20:00 [3]

Ran round the South Achray permanent course, checking posts and their wherabouts. Some missing, some fallen over, some in the wrong place!
Good job I'm getting it sorted!

The area is brilliant - a re-survey would make it an excellent middle/SOSOL area!! hint, hint!

Orienteering race 33:00 [4]

FVO event at Touch planned by Fraser.
Peeing it down and not in great shape, but after a short tudge round the fields at the bottom the course went into beautiful oak woodland with plenty of detail to keep me on/off my toes. Nice.
A woeful warm down/up due to the rush to spectate at Dumyat Hill race.

No orienteer winner this year, but plenty in the top 12 and an excellent Edinburgh haries turnout.

Run 1:15:00 [3]

A not so easy steady run with the FVO crowd. Ran from home with "Tigger"Connor so the first 3k was a bit fast for my stiff legs. Pleasant run thereafter with some new bits in the Allan valley.
Fed by B&B after, smashing!

Note

Legs not so good. A hot bath last night helped. Took a walk at lunch. Need ITB and calf massage tonight and more stretching.
