Mountain Walk 2:59:00 [3]

Couldn't resist making the most of the beautiful weather (didn't fancy the Tinto!) so J9 and I headed for the Ben Lawers range and took in the two Munros that we failed to do with Gary & Louise a while back. The weather was unbeleivable, views out of this world and I was in shorts for most of it because of the strong sun (despite a foot of snow on the tops!).
Ab fab day - topped off with a can of cream soda and then an evening catching up with Jenny D (Janine's old workmate & B&B&Jamie).
Top weekend, must do more of these!

Mountain Bike 2:00:00 [3]

Family Hensman day out to celebrate Lindsey's 60th.
We all took the bikes and buggies and went on the Loch Katrine ferry to Stronachlachar and rode back very steadily with a few breaks and picnic. Then onto the Forth Inn (I had a captain Birdseye Fish & Chips :-( straight from the freezer and a pint.
A very pleasant day.

Run 32:00 [3]

Got out from home with Skyhigh after work.
Had to run on the paths round the town as it was so dark!
And freezing!

Note
(rest day)

Attended a UK Coaching seminar on Motivation and Mental Toughness.

Didn't learnt much more than I knew already, but there were plenty of "mental" people there. How can orienteering be regarded as so lowly a sport when people who undertake it are so much brighter than people in other sports!?!

Run warm up/down 25:00 [3]

Orienteering race 1:00:00 [4]

FVO Night Series 1. Touch Hill.
I was pretty appalling tonight. My compass never seemed to work and my poor eyesight failed to pick out the groundshapes and the controls.
Tired from yesterday's intervals, I soon lost interest. Which was a shame - Martin had planned a challenging course and the others had a good crack at it. Ross winning it after Will & Fraser made a gross error on the way to the last - comedy!
Dinner at the Pirnhall after.

Intervals intervals 24:00 [5]
ahr:170 max:178

FVO Intervals on the track, joined by Ochil Hillrunners who will hopefully be joining us througout the winter!
So, a large group of about 16 I think.
5 x 4 mins with 60 secs recovery.

I really enjoyed my first return to track. I found a good consistent pace (although a bit slower than I need to be) and concentrated on good posture and breathing.

I really, really enjoyed track - amazing!

Run warm up/down 40:00 [2]

Good to see a fleeting visit by Kirsty B-J.
Some excellent comedy sprints - I was well caught out on the start whistles!

Pilates 35:00 [3]

A new set tonight.
I didn't really get my head round things that well, but nobody went twang.
Just phaaarp!
Tired tonight, very tired.....
