Hills with Ben and Rog. Not feeling 100% (busy end of year work madness) but not really an excuse to skip. Worked hard and did OK. Lots of Ochils doing reps and runs all about us - pretty cool!

Dodgy tummy, another poor night's sleep, feeling exhausted. Didn't bode well going into a tough Uath Lochans. despite the beautiful weather I wasn't well enough to face this challenge - but many thanks to James for arranging.

Fab club weekend, good social, good mix of ages, good fun!

Starting at 7:30am I was hanging, running and shadowing for the club training weekend throughout the dat.

Dunachton in the morning was a real pleasure, Moor of Alvie was tough (especially hanging the last course without a compass!) but well worth it.
A fab day's training, shame I was under the weather (dodgy stomach, poor night's sleep).

Hill reps at the uni, with Brad and BenP.

Like Brad I was a tech fail and didn't record most laps but my times were about 5-8 secs behind the boys:
1:45-7 / 1:05-7

promisingly similar times to last March but nowhere near that fabulous 2011 with Jon, Ross & Marcus:
1:36, 55 1:36, 56 1:37, 56 1:38, 56 1:34, 56

Hate the long rep, love the attacking short one - nearly bit some ankles on the last rep ;-)

Sunny and snow-free in Perth.
Warm up loop round the grounds followed by 4 sets of 2 x hill sprints of approx. 35 and 55 secs in length. Felt good to be pushing strong and driving through. Watch died halfway in.

Worked a bit harder than usual (not hard then). Arms already sore for hoiking two boot loads of free wood from the side of the A9 yesterday.

FVO Come and Train - Falkirk Wheel.
Why aren't these registered and advertised as events and we organize appropriate club training prior to them? It's a real shame that we go to so much effort and a minimal number of folk turn up.

Anyway, good course planned by Steve and Organised/hung by Will. I visited some new bits and enjoyed the runnable bits, taking time to avoid the grot on the direct routes.

Got the youngster! ;-)

Out for hills with ben. had hoped to go to Uni but short on time meant going back to Dunblane-Kippenrait Glen hills.
Felt absolutely crap on the way there and didn't perk up on the reps. Gladly we agreed that as Ben has X-C on Saturday we should stop at three. Phew!

Orienteering race 1:06:13 [4] 10.21 km (6:29 / km) +75m 6:15 / km

CSC Scottish round at Tentsmuir.
Went off hard and did what I could. Only one big mistake at 17 (where I think I can blame the map (or lack of it) but felt like I was going backwards in the terrain for the last few km. Got my butt whipped by plenty of FVO boys - which means I can safely enter the Dramathon :-)

Down the Darn "Burn" and attempted to do hills. No Ben tonight and I felt knackered from the start. the path is wrecked from recent rains and is a total mudbath. Short on time and motivation I called it a day after 2 reps.

Took Geoff's run on Short Blue at the Mugdock SOL.
Pleasantly surprised at how nice the terrain was and I enjoyed a fabby middle-race style course.
