Orienteering race 1:17:18 [3] 9.63 km (8:02 / km)

Culbin SOL - Short Brown
Dead from the start so resolved to go strong and hang on. Lasted until the open gorsey section and then the wheels came off. Just dragging myself round thereafter. No mistakes (easy at 1:7500) just failing to move forward at any speed. real pleased to see Claire and get that mental drag round at the end ;-) Very shocked to see myself in front of many others. not surprised to be 7-8 minutes down on Big Jon and Charlie.

Over three minutes back on Big Jon and Charlie. Beaten by Fanni! Grrrrr!

And home again. Full of good grub (bacon butty start :-) and coffee.
It looks like FC Scotland is to become Forestry and Land Scotland and we will slowly and stealthily absorb all the other organisations as part of Scottish Government. A bit concerned that we are to lose the Forestry Act and be totally at a whim to Scottish Ministers thereafter.....

Compass Sport Cup for FVO.
Racing with a chest infection - not wise. I pretty much cruised the whole thing and walked the hills. It looks like most people were making mistakes so my result is better than it should be.

Felt like death on Monday but improving Tuesday and Wednesday so hope to get back to jogging by the weekend.

I've completely forgotten what training is!

Shadowed Matthew round the white course. Absolutely shocking placing of controls on wrong sides of path junctions etc - really very amateur. Well, what do you expect, from a second-rate club like SYO. ;-)
