Dunblane-Doune-Buchany-Braes of Doune windfarm - Braco-Dunblane.
Have been wanting to do this for a while! Struggled on the climb tonight - can't blame it all on a heavy bike - must be me too! Enjoyable banter, good views, still wind, burning thighs - sorted!

Lakes 5 Day 5 - Eggerslack & Hampsfell.
Ready to enjoy a long o today - dischuffed by the fellrace first 10 controls, enjoyed Eggerslack and then struggled back over the top. Was walking by the time I reach the mis-placed control and wandered for ages around it before walking back. Glad they chopped the course from there.
Glad it's all over. It's been good training but I'm not fit enough to enjoy it.

Mountain Biking with Matthew on the back. Up to the Lakes 5 campsite and along to Satterthwaite - discovered the secret playpark and then back the same route. Fun!

Training with Hollie back at Simpson's Ground - Men's Middle Race.
Ran out from the Gummer's How Car Park and back and Hollie ran most of the course whilst I tried to shadow....A real struggle and so I had to cut a few corners and miss some sections out. Hollie going very well.

Not looking forward to this and struggled in the rough terrain, hot weather and long distance. No real mistakes but just trundling along. Good training.

Middle Race in Simpsons Ground. Really enjoyed the race, despite bracken bashing as an early starter. Lots of short legs within the terrain - used a ride once. Unfortunately I'm too fat to do any better results-wise.
