Run 57:00 [4]

Took liberties and went for a longish run at lunchtime. Two laps of Kings Park. I wasn't missed, should've gone for 3 laps!
Good conditions for training, but a bit too cold!

Monday Dec 21, 2009 #

Run 36:00 [3]

A potter from work up and around the Castle.
Found some new spots for control sites.
Slippy and slidey and I didn't feel up to more than a shuffle.

Walk 1:40:00 [1]

Walk with family to Bridge of Allan and back.
Offset the calories burnt in the T-shop.

Not up to much else after 3rd xmas party in a row last night......

Run 30:00 [3]

Loops of the wood out the back.
Running tentatively because of hip injury - can still feel it after a week.
Feeling very very fat.

Pilates 30:00 [3]

FVO's final Pilates & Conditioning of 2009.

A good turnout for a challenging pilates sessions, a challenge Jase round and then team games. I hope no-one was permanantly hurt!

I struggled with my hip.
Thankfully some Bellhaven, nachos and steak pie made it better ;-P

Well done to all for their regular attendance.

Run 1:30:00 [4]

A long run home from Stirling Uni via Dumyat.
Janine had gone swimming so I took Yoda round the Loch and then met for a coffee.
Not up for a run but got out and once above the trees the thick mist cleared and the views from Dumyat were exceptional! Wallace Monument just peaked out of the mist, as did the smoke stacks from Longannet and Grangemouth. Fabulous views to the north, including the who Lawers range. Dropped off Dumyat feeling better than 2 weeks ago and found a nice ride through the woods that took me to the Sheriffmuir road. Then over the hill to the east of the fishery and up the hill towards the Clan Monument. From there I terrain ran through the woods and picked up the path down to home. A fabulous run, until I touched tarmac on the estate - my first footfall hit black ice and I went down like a sack of spuds.
Despite being nearly as old a Brad and Fraser I managed to deflect most of the impact on my hand and elbow but still managed to smash my right hip joint - hence a badly inflamed hip burser.

Might mean a few days off ;-(

Xmas tree up, decorations done, bring on Santa (with a special gift to stop Powers from bringing up acid reflux and crying for 2 hours a night).

Run 40:00 [3]

I couldn't be bothered today.
But Janine wanted a prescription picking up for Fraggle and I wanted my Saturday Times so I trundeld round the village, ended up on the High Street and then back home.
Felt better for being out.

Run 1:03:00 [3]

FVO headlamp run from Stirling Uni.
After much road running through B of A we climbed up the Glen and across the Golf Course, Minewoods and back - much milder than last night!

Will twisted another ankle!

A lovely meal and wine followed at the Westy, smashing!

Intervals 1:05:00 [5]

FVO Intervals.
I always look forward to this session and then when I do it I wonder why - it's so painful!!!!

And it was pishing it down and wet and slippy.

Warm up of the Uni loch and then one lap hard.
Approx 5 minutes recovery and then a chasing start one lap hard based on your initial time. Worked pretty well and no-one increased their lap time by more than 18 seconds (close one Tullster - 2 more secs and you'd have been in the loch!). Tryan going well, Stalker not bad considering no training!

My times: 9:45 and 9:41. Pogged!

1 lap warm down. Soaked ;-)

Pilates 1:05:00 [3]

FVO Pilates and Conditioning.
A tough session tonight of 45/5 and 30/5 on the circuits.

Tired from yesterday's events.

Snook a lift back with Brad ;-)

Orienteering race 50:00 [5]

Glasgow Parks - 3 Park Races in 1 Day!

Good fun, but a bit hectic what with juggling splits starts and wee Matthew.
A poor first one - no warm up, just holding breakfast down.
Better second one, slowing 3rd one - no-one about.

Good fun mind!

Run warm up/down 30:00 [2]

Not as much as I'd have liked.
