Run from Aberfoyle office after a looong finance meeting. Out the back in the nice bit. I don't think my body was quite ready for terrain and little undulating climbs - a bit sore after. And talk about wheezing when running, OMG!

Short on time, but also wary of stressing the body too much - decided on a two-loop route on St Mag's Hill - two nice climbs of 5 minutes. Right foot planter fascia still sore despite stretching and massage (I need some pain I think!).

Control hanging for the FVO event on S Achray. I got two very lovely sections to do and absolutely loved it - bright morning sunshine, blue skies, flattened bracken, heaven!

And then 5 hours setting up, manning & taking down the string course.
Fab spot, great new map from J9, lots of help from Tracey, Mark, Brad & Beccy - Thanks! Fun ;-)

Home to Gathering Stone. Very slippy and muddy, plenty of snow further up but too much mud to make any difference. Calf OK but right planter fascia very sore. Also feeling pretty ruff. Grumble, grumble...

Spurred on by yesterdays ride I felt up to this challenge! But first I had to hike 4k with Hannah in the backpack round the white course with Matthew - well impressed with his endurance cos it was a long way incl to start & finish! But beautiful, sunny forest!

Little was I to know that we'd already seen the best part of the day...
From Phorp - onto the Dava Way and a ride off-road all the way back to Grantown. Absolutely fab route with no trouble riding any of it apart from being into a strong-to-gusting South Westerly all the way which eventually turned into sleety gusting and then downpour! Chilblained hands and feet by the end and it was one of the toughest endurance sessions I've done for a while (because I'm so crap on a bike!). Glad to have done it. Calfs fine, ITB's a bit grumbly but holding out.

Mountain bike session from Grantown via Curr wood and Docharn & Deisher to the o event at Boat of Garten. Pushing hard (I am out of condition for a bike) but loving being out in a beautiful part of the world! Calf fine on the bike....

Late arriving, no warm up, struggling to get into my stride early on. Caught Daniel Stansfield and we were just about to head onto the hill for the last big loop when, Ooh, what's that, ouch, that hurts!
Twang! Left calf.

Dang! There goes the Scottish Sprints & Nights and two lovely events in Speyside this weekend!

Kinnoull Hill Run.
Had hoped to do a fartlek or interval session up it but clearly being waken 4 times by Hannah between 4am and 6am doesn't help your training.
Both big toes sore from something I did last night and right calf and plantar fascia grumbly.

Having said that - it was a pleasant dry, chilly winter's day (Untypical) and my time to the top was nae bad.
