10mila.
9th leg for Kalevan Rasti.
Not the best night all round, and we were a long way behind after 8 legs, but I was still going out at the back of the group from 2nd to 8th.

Royally screwed up #1 - massive schoolboy error chasing the guys in front up the hill. Was in control until about 100m before the control, then something didn't feel right, I slowed down for a few secs, and all 5 of the group in front of me were racing off to the right. A quick glance 'confirmed' they were heading the right way so I followed. I was wrong - those 5 all had one forking and me and Peter had the other. Cue some head scratching and very poor relocation. 4:30 ish gone.

After that it was game over for the team for a medal, but I ran as best as I could, and at least I could catch up 2 of the teams at the end, but 2-4th were far up the road.

Team struggled home in a disappointing 7th place - I was far from the only one who didn't have a good day - probably only 2 guys were really happy with their race, but my one mistake was probably the most visible and costly for the team at that point of the relay. There was no chance to win, but a medal was a definite possibility still.
