Orienteering race 35:00 intensity: (2:00 @3) + (26:00 @4) + (7:00 @5) 7.4 km (4:44 / km)

SHI relay. Last leg for one of the 2 'equal' England teams. Started off after good work from Matt and Dave in 4th, about 1:30 down on the leading team (Spongey), 1:15 down on scotland 2 (Ewan) and 35s behind England's other team (Jonny).
Went off fast, chasing Jonny and Ewan, but rarely got glimpses of Spongey. Caught Jonny at 6, and Ewan at 7 (which we then both missed by 30s). Stupid route by me to 8 meant the 3 of us were together again, but Spongey was long gone.
Ran well from there to the finish, managed to gap the others so I could cruise the finish whilst they had a fight behind me for 3rd (which Jonny won). Decent day for England boys, but smashed overall again.

Trail/terrain running warm up/down 33:00 intensity: (32:00 @1) + (1:00 @2) 5.0 km (6:36 / km)

Orienteering race 1:10:00 intensity: (2:00 @3) + (37:00 @4) + (31:00 @5) 14.6 km (4:48 / km)

SHI individual in Yorkshire Dales. Hard work! Was always slightly hillier and rougher than it looked. Had a decent run and managed the win (just). Not enough to prevent a whitewash overall though.

Trail/terrain running warm up/down 28:00 intensity: (21:00 @1) + (6:00 @2) + (1:00 @3) 5.2 km (5:23 / km)

Trail/terrain running 1:02:00 intensity: (41:00 @1) + (21:00 @2) 8.6 km (7:13 / km)

Exploring potential new map near Callander. Was going well, then got stuck in a hell hole fallen tree prison. For 15 minutes it seemed I might never find a way out, but then I did, only to realise my car key had never found it's way out...
Luckily F had hers with her.

Climbing 30:00 [0]

An hour with F. Felt like I had already done quite a lot in the woods

Long run in Glen Lyon. 4 Munros and a Corbett. Ran with a 4kg pack.

Ran from just by Inverar, up Meall nan Aighean despite stupid works detour trying to send me up the wrong hill (had to sneak past the trucks), then over to Carn Mairg via Meall Liath, then Meall a' Bharr - Meall Garbh – An Sgorr – Carn Gorm. Had a decision here - back to the car or bag a Corbett as well. Decided I didn't want to have to trek back later to do it, and it was looking great so I headed for Beinn Dearg as well. Toughest section of the day – steep descent then ascent up to the top (only walking of the day), then a really steep descent down to Camusvrachan. Then a gruelling 4.5km run back along the road to the car.

Great day out, nice loop - quite 'easy' Munros - it seems that Grahams/Corbetts are often tougher as no motorways up them. Much harder work with a pack.
