O - competition (SVO 24 hr Rogaine) 10:50:00 [3] 22.0 mi (29:33 / mi)

Day 2. Finished W loop. Not too far from HQ area when thunderstorm hit (but on top of ridge). Ran 5 miles back in and had some hot food, dry clothes and 1/2 hour sleep. Back out at first light. Did E corner CW. Went fine except for messy logging area between 23 and 25.

In all, got 26 of 40 controls for ~1330 points for 3rd master and 3rd overall. Enjoyed the terrain and layout. Whole are felt very remote -- no civilization. Our sequence was 21/54/41/80/44/72 74/35/65/51/71/ 60/34/73/81/61/40/ break/23/25/45/52/30 /83/64/32/20.

Thanks Brad for the event and thanks Eddie for the great awards -- very classy! Thanks Glen for a great partner.

O - competition (SVO 24 hr Rogaine) 12:00:00 [3] 30.0 mi (24:00 / mi)

Day 1 of rogaine with Glen Brake. W section CCW. Hit hard controls during daylight, later ones were okay after dark (from 60 on). Some problem with 41 (compass error) and 74 (terrain vague).

Off Trail Running (Warmup) 15:00 [3] 1.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

O - competition (Day 2 Mt Penn Green X) 56:31 [5] 5.4 km (10:28 / km)

A few small errors today -- notably at the start where I was too hasty
taking off (2 min). Also had weak attack points on 3 and 8 (1 min each).
Lack of hard training lately hurt on the hill running.

Off Trail Running (Warmup) 15:00 [3] 1.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

O - competition (Short Champs Green X) 29:54 [4] 2.9 km (10:19 / km)

Only one weak leg -- due to lack of attack point coming out of med green area (2 min). Generally ran conservatively due to lack of running recently.
Satisfied given no training or speed workouts. 3rd M50.
