Not much time for anything today as had things to do all day, then got home and collapsed on the sofa.

Poptarts was v of the good last night but definitely feeling the fact I'd been up on the ankle ALL day and then danced for hours on it. It was a little swollen when I got home and quite sore all day. V glad I didn't run cos I would have died a death.

It was also then super unhappy when I got home but felt better curled up with ice cream and a film or two.

Jogged up to start and back a few times, doing helper stuff and also near the end of the day jogged up to the finish and back to see if I could run tomorrow. Answer = No.

Wobbled all morning: eating brekky on one leg, surfing net, making brownies etc. Swapped legs obviously as don't want to get imbalanced. getting good, but can't quite do one leg, no eyes. better though!

Easiest level, just to loosen legs up a bit as I'm feeling like a lazy sod from not going out yesterday. 10mins forward, 10 back.

Did 1km sprint on L4 on the bike. spent the rest of the 5mins chilling out. Felt good. Wanted to do more but didn't have time.

Ankle's been feeling ok, not painful. Alex then got hold and frictioned it again. This time the tears had dried before leaving though and I could see the disappointment in his face. Had some ultrasound and he was pleased I've decided not to run BUSA. Did the one legged standing (+ eyes shut) and lasted for about a min on both.

Felt ok so when dad gets in going to go for some hill reps down the lane as i'm missing intervals tonight :)

Felt poo before so didn't go out for hill intervals with dad, nor any type of run, i was snoozing in front of H&A and absolutely starving. Will try and get out tomorrow morning or maybe cycle when back in shef or summat.ARGH.

Been doing lots of wobbling when I can and ate my post-mdoc-run nibbles dinner on one leg. Getting better but also getting calf and ham cramp.

Went out with the big boys tonight, though not the usual fastest lot. Started out as just a very slow pootle, was chatting medicine with Dr Preece then started to pick up the pace a bit until ankle slightly went from under me and went all tingly for a bit, didn't hurt just tingled. Felt weak all the way round. Though had a nice race *up* park road with preeceyface.

Decided not going to run BUSA. I want to play properly at the JK.

Did some of the back stuff and a few ankle raises before heading out. Really needed these last two lie-ins and feel so much better now.

Topped at 37mph today! not sure where but there were some nice swoops around and about. Average was bout 15/16mph.

Headed out to HG then up the A6 to New Mills, back past Swizzles (mmm smell the lovehearts!) and through Strines and the centre of Marple. Was held up by a lot of traffic and silly traffic lights though most people were on the ball and not trying to run me over today.

Knees were a little bit stiff but fine by the end and the ankle was fine all the way round :)

As my ankle was warmed up and it had stopped raining went for a little tester jog around the estate after cycling. Ankle felt fine, tho near the end I could feel it, not painful but uncomfortable.

Calves very tight from all the ankle raises also hams as per usual need extra work.

When I finally dragged myself out of bed I did some more back physio then had a bit of a test of the ankle. It didn't like trying to stand just on it, on my toes but got about half way. Mum being the angel she is got me in with Alex this afternoon so I wandered around the house, did some work then headed off.

Firstly my file is looking a tad worrying now, think it's mostly my back things... oops. He got stuck in to the ankle right away (well after laughing at my crash story). I'd iced it so much yesterday that I've not really got a bruise and only a tiny tiny amount of swelling which you probably couldn't see if you weren't looking for it. He dug around in the tendons, seemed to have missed the usual one and got the two surrounding it slightly, but again only slightly. Proprioception out of the window though, can just about stand on one leg with eyes open, shut i was almost on the floor after 2secs.

Some amount of pummeling later (with a nice fat purple splodge) got some ultrasounding and Alex has decided I should be fine for this weekend though I have to come back on thursday and he'll decide what sort of strapping I need. For the moment I'll stick to my bike til Wednesday, give the MDOC run a go with one of the slow groups and do lots of wobble boarding!
