running warm up/down 15:00 [3]

orienteering race 1:25:00 [5]

Another very bad run.

Well it seems I forgot how to orienteer this weekend. Actually just wasn't reading the map properly and was not doing what I normally do at all. Don't really know why but my guess is a poor mental approach to the races - not feeling confident at all before running and was visualising myself making mistakes and being hopeless whenever I thought about the races. Gotta find a way to change that...because it's definitely something I often do in "big" races, but I thought I'd sort of got over.
Feeling extremely disappointed and frustrated! :(

Note
(rest day)

Well I had planned to do an easy run today, but now I don't have any time to do so. Dammit! Should have done one yesterday!

Note
(rest day)

Rest day, but will probably spend a while walking around the city and north adelaide putting up flyers, so not a completely lazy day!

running intervals 59:44 [4]

Did some multitasking on my warm up and put some flyers up in north adelaide for my honours project and then went to the track and did 8x200. Meant to do two short tempo efforts after that too but decided just the 200s were enough and jogged home really slowly. Feeling a little bit bleh

running 31:00 [3]

A very easy run along the river. Tired after another very intense day.

Monday Mar 17, 2014 #

running intervals 1:06:57 [5]

Intervals along the river: 4x30/1 + 3x3min/2 hard, and then 4x4min/1 at tempo pace. Felt really good today! How strange. It definitely won't last until the weekend I am sure.
