Easy jogging to collect controls from yesterday. Walked a lot too, but have only logged the bits I jogged.
Obviously very tired as I made the biggest rookie error when I was collecting a simple control - trotted off down the wrong track for ages until I realised and had to do a 180 haha!

Australian ultra long - on my favourite maps! :D was really fun, in an epic way, but unfortunately I was feeling crappy today and my legs were tired after the first few controls (with about 45 to go!!)...made a few mistakes but nothing huge. And i was rooted on the last loop so my brain felt like mush and i dont think i naviated very well haha.
My long runs have mostly been about 90mins since my injury, so I wasn't exactly in shape for this race, but I'm feeling really annoyed and frustrated at my orienteering at Easter and today. Feel kinda like im just way behind where I want to be :(

Easy run along the river. Had planned to go for longer, but legs were feeling a touch tired, and it's quite possible I could be running for 2.5hrs at the ultra long...soo I cut it short! Really nice weather again though :)

Went for a super easy run along the river - surprisingly felt quite good and didn't have any niggles in the legs! Though I don't feel energetic enough for an ultra long yet....
Perfect weather for running :)

Lots of uni work to do, so didn't have time to do much else. Hopefully will be able to do a ride tomorrow - elbow is still not great after my stack at the first NOL and trying to extend it too far really hurts....

orienteering race 42:40 [5]

Easter Day 3. First half of the course felt like it was uphill to me, and my legs were super tired and calves super tight so it was a struggle and I wasn't enjoying it....but then the course started going downhill and it was sweet haha! Felt like I was actually racing properly in the second half, which I don't feel I have done in an orienteering race for at least a year. So that was a good way to finish Easter!

My results haven't been very good over the whole weekend, but I feel like I've come a long way since the end of last year, so am really satisfied. Also - no troubles with my shin!! :D
