Long run, out in a section of creswick forest I'm not so familiar with...so got a little lost/confused and took a wrong turn and missed the cool single track section. Anyway, worked out alright in the end and seemed to be pretty hilly! Felt quite good for most of it :) shin was very hot and cold - quite painful at times, and then not noticeable at all. Think I'm pretty experienced with the pain and know when it's dangerous and when it's ok to keep pushing it....think it was ok to push it today....

Ran part of a course at petticoat gully. Meant to be middle distance training, so should have probably gone for a bit longer...but I was pretty tired after 20mins of going hard. Navigation was ok, still lots of work to do till I'm happy with my orienteering though...

Easy recovery run. Trying to get some stiffness out of my legs!

Core, straight after my run so I was all sweaty and gross.

Also, my stupid shin has been hurting when running this week. I have noticed this happens when I start running more after a few very easy weeks...hopefully that's all it is and it'll adjust soon. Has been more than a year since it first started hurting...but maybe this kind of thing sort of lingers around for a while....I do have a mutant bony bump on my tibia so who knows!

5 x 4min hard, with 1min ez inbetween. Wasn't too keen for this session once I'd started my warm up and was feeling very bleugh. But then a car full of bogans pulled up next to me on one of the forest tracks and I started running a bit faster haha (but that was actually really scary). Aaaaand then I was on my final rep, with 30secs to go, when I turned the corner and saw two little black piglets on the track....and of course a big fat mummy pig just behind them. Freaking scary! I don't think meeting a wild pig with piglets is the safest thing ever, so I did a 180 and sprinted back the other way....
The ints themselves were at a steady tempo pace rather than really hard.

Hill ints: 3x3min with jog back recovery
Soo glad the session wasn't that big, it was a struggle! Was super stuffed at the end. Tried to focus on being strong up the hill rather than fast. Haven't done ints or any hard running in a good while so not surprised it felt hard.

Mostly core work, as my legs were tired. Didn't have enough energy to do a prone hold though!

Rest day to start some hard training up to Easter haha!
Never thought I'd say this but I actually can't wait for uni to start....I will regret thinking that in about a month haha
