single track run at stromlo. oh how i have missed stromlo single tracks! enjoyed this soooo much, lower legs didnt protest too much either :D though they were quite stiff/sore after, and i couldnt ice because a) gin blew up the ice pack in the microwave and b) i had to go to the movies ;)

Guess of time,might be about right though, when including collecting tapes.
Substitute o training for the postponed events at snows hill. Skipped the first exercise (being careful on shin) but did the second, which was o ints. Got put in a group with Lizzie josh and olle...am no where near as fit as them at the moment so first loop I just tried to keep up for the first two controls...by then my lower legs had really tightened up (both gastrocnemiuses very sore and could feel L tibialis anterior) so reminded myself this was technical training, backed off and just did my own thing without worrying about the others. Worked ok, nav was ok for the rest. Lower legs still very sore - now suspect it's my o shoes since there seems to be a pattern of pain (stb, nol, this session) sooo will try to sort that out.

Can't ride chilled for some reason, keep smashing out the ride home and getting there all sweaty and exhausted haha

had a super exciting prac for human physiology which involved stimulating toad gastrocnemius' to contract. was really cool!

running 1:01:49 [3]

easy run before uni on ainslie. really fun! need new songs on my ipod though, keep skipping almost all of them haha. felt ok, shin alright...seems to hurt more when im not running :|
going to have the day off running tomorrow just to be safe

easy run to ainslie, single track for a bit, then back home.
shin felt alright, a few twinges but nothing too bad. felt horridly unfit though. decided to adopt the mindset of starting everything over again (training wise) i.e. so no more pressure of expecting myself to be able to run for x long easily or thinking i should be running at x pace etc.
going to try to build slowly from here.

intense ride this morning...5mins in i realised i forgot my usb (essential for printing prac reports a few hours before they're due) so hightailed it back home! didnt want to be late for 8am stats so rode hard back to uni....made it (just) :) and also submitted my prac report in time :)

got the go-ahead from the physio to do some short runs, as long as shin feels ok. so went for an evening jog to ainslie to test it out. felt ok...stopped to walk during some iffy bits but generally it felt ok. put some more tape on it so i think that helped.
happy happy to be running :)

physio report:
still no official diagnosis, but she says all my leg muscles are very very tight. and so is my lower back. so the combination of it all is overloading my tibialis anteriors ...and the fascia next to the tibia is getting inflamed. soo need to STRETCH and ice after running or other exercise.

Did yesterdays ride to lake g, but this time I didn't get lost ;)
Nice ride, enjoyed it! Too bad it wasn't terribly sunny but oh well.
Also, my shins (both this time, unusually) started getting extremely painful during the last 20mins of this. Hmm. That might put riding off the cards for awhile :( :(
