90min rogaine on turkey ridge i think it was, steep open farmland. very different to aus!
did the first few ok, then was with mother so we did some relocation/map memory exercises and just ran around randomly, not really aiming to get lots of controls. was quite cool!
calves got uber tight on all the hills and i suspect are wanting a rest...

woodhill, on the maps being used for QB3.
did some more O ints, the first few were baaaaad as i was still half asleep. then bumped into mark and geoff who gave us another map with taped controls for the event on it. so went on a detour to do a super control picking course of them.
very very cool. am not looking forward to returning to boring old canberra with its lovely spur-gully maps :(

woodhill, somewhere different from yesterday.
cooooooooooooool area, twas very fast and abit more vague than yesterday. mother went out first and put the tapes out then i followed. made 2 biggish mistakes and the rest were good! find i keep making my mistakes in the circle which is annoying.....maybe need to slow down and read more??

woodhill somewhere
did a course out to the larger part of the map where the main part of our training was. mother shadowed me and we did some stopping in the control circle to make sure we were in the right place....fun though, really liked the forest and map!

orienteering 1:06:20 [3]

did some O ints on the better part of the map we had run to. mother put out the tapes then i came and collected them. very cool low-vis part at the start which was tricky!
then got really tired soon after that and skipped some of the legs cuz i had stopped concentrating.......should have had an easier day yesterday!!

travelling to auckland today! dont know if i willhave time for a run....

run in the W-somethingsomthing ranges near auckland after arriving. suposed to be an easier run but i got lost!!!! took one glance at the map then just ran...which was dumb cuz i took one wrong turn and ran waaaaaay up a spur in the wrong direction so had to turn around and run really fast back to the car so mother wouldnt worry.
very nice forest though :)

eeeeek i forgot how hard naseby is!!! made so so many little mistakes, and running was slow due to all the low-vis pines....cant wait to go out again tomorrow!
