Easy around the tracks at belangalo. The orienteering looked really fun but I had a mega headache. Felt quite good running though....think I just need to smash some more drugs and some more sleep and then I'll be right :D

Also I ran into an emu at one point and, no joke, it started running in large circles around me - even when I had turned and ran away it followed me for about 500m :/ :/ :/

Yog with moth and gin in Katoomba. It's turned winter (ish) here - yesterday and today it's been a max of 12 with misty rain all day :/ So apart from that this run was nice. We took a less touristy track which ended up being a bush/river/leech bash

Went for another run in Blackheath out to Pulpit rock. It was super nice! There were zero views on account of all the mist, but it actually made it quite eerie and cool.

Long out and back from Katoomba with Gfry and Gin. It was a super nice run and pretty fun (overall). But it was also 30 degrees and sunny and we, like the wise people we are, took no water, no gels, no phones, no snake bandages etc etc. So we all got pretty cooked by half way and were really thirsty and faint coming back up the cliff to the car. And for some reason I was being the snake sweeper at the front, and therefore almost stood on a fat red bellied black.

Anyway, good to do my fourth (and final) long run for the year ;) ;)

6x5x40/20s in Blackheath. Got super super lost on the warm up (missed a turn off), didn't have my phone or a map so was getting a little bit worried but kept going...Found a road so did my intervals out along it and then just randomly followed my nose back to the cliff track and then back to the car. Was getting a bit dark by the end and I was super smashed doing my "warm down" up all the cliff stairs. Better take a better look at the map tomorrow ;)

Ballarat park run, including a long warm up and longish warm down (cbf separating it out)

Did 19.35 so a little better, but I think I still need more practice because it didn't feel super hard. Might need to do a better warm up (with some run throughs) next time because I was really stiff and tight

Will do my next one just after falls creek

Oh and also forgot to say that I think I can now (finally) officially say I'm faster than my 15 year old self :D

I actually felt good and thought I was doing ok....until I caught sight of Tash in front of me and then lost my brain and accidentally skipped a control. Oooops...I'm a bit of a champion at mispunching! Better try and mispunch less than 50% of Xmas 5 days ;)

5 x 1 mile reps up the creek. Felt good for the first three, and then died on the last two. Warm down was a long, very slow, crawl home via a few bubblers. Not great...definitely need to do a few more of these sessions this summer

Wanted to do hill reps but my usual hill was slick with mud, so did undulating 500's along codes forest road. Actually felt really good and it was an awesome session...So, in conclusion, I think I need to learn how to race a 5km! (Because I definitely wasn't tired enough after yesterday)

Ballarat parkrun. Pretty slow, but I've not raced a 5km in a very long time! Very unsure what pace to go, felt comfortable at 4km so probably didn't go hard enough. Also (more excuses :P) it was windy and muddy, and this course isn't very fast. Anyway! A good starting point :)
