Well I had planned to do a session....but was feeling kinda crap when I started out. I can only either go super hard or super easy, so super easy it was! Maybe I should have manned up and done the session anyway, but I guess a bit too much rest/recovery is better than too little ;)

To/from uni. Lord what a stressful ride home. So many dogs and small children to collide with. Also I've been putting most of my hard training on the weekend so I have more mental energy for uni during the week....think that plan has backfired because every Monday I'm wrecked and work so badly haha

Morning run to try and loosen my hip

3x15min up the river. Felt pretty good! It was fun. Got a little achy spot on one shin which I shall monitor closely. I only noticed it today and it doesn't hurt running, but I'm super paranoid. Right hip is also quite mashed, but it's always a bit spastic

2, 1, 30 session down the river. Felt good but then about half way through got a big belly ache which made me slow down a bit, so didn't feel that tired at the end. Almost stepped on and crushed a little rat dog I didn't see in the dark (and the owner didn't bother trying to move it out of the way)....also saw four tawny frog mouths!

Compound miles on a new route! Woah this was so fun, found some really cool single tracks that I didn't know existed. A little scary in the dark because I sort of had no idea where I was going, which makes intervals difficult! Will definitely go this way again :D

40/20s down the river. Took a new route this evening, and as it was in the dark (with my headlight) it was actually rather scary and I was worried I'd get lost or come across some scary bogans. I survived though!

Morning shuffle to try and accelerate my recovery. Felt pretty crap, as expected

3x15min tempo up the river. Felt pretty good, but started a bit too slowly because I wasn't sure how tired I was going to be after yesterday. Went in the evening (in the dark) and saw absolutely no one until about halfway through when suddenly there were like 40 people gathered in the dark on the bike path. It really freaked me out until I realised they were all playing Pokemon!

Rare weekend in Melbourne! Think I might have only ever had two weekends in Melb.
2, 1, 30 session (that will make sense to no one except me haha). Felt really good!! Haven't done this session for a little while. Some clown wouldn't move their rat dog off the path and I considered kicking it but at the last minute decided that would be mean haha

40/20s up the river. Felt good in the legs but also kinda bad. Fun session anyway, was getting pretty bored of this route before Europe so hopefully I can stay enthused.

Easy run. Legs actually felt good, and I wanted to do a session but it might be a bit foolish given my sleep deprived state. Also feel a cold brewing, so am taking it easy!

lost all confidence before the start for some reason and so was navigating really defensively.....which was not good and I think I stuffed like 90% of controls. Need to try and change my mental outlook before the middle!
