Feeling ridiculously smashed, even after a 10 hr sleep. The number of participants in my honours project has just about tripled over the last two days, so I think that's stressing me out (just a little bit). Having a rest day today.

Struggled to wake up this morning, was having a sick game of thrones dream. Anyway, did a 45min tempo around north adelaide. Now that I have a working heart rate monitor, I don't think I'm working hard enough on these runs! Maaaaybe will try going a little harder next week. Maybe.

Excited to go running this morning cuz I got to wear my new garmin I got for my bday :D went to the north adelaide track and did 1k reps. Felt pretty slow and had heavy legs, but they were all just around 4:00 so that's ok for me right now. Only did four reps....maybe should have done one more....but shall try to do so next week!

Intended to go to the orienteering, but I was a bit too slow organising a lift there and also I had to do uni work. So instead I had a really lazy rest day. Which was nice! Have been intending to do plyometrics for ages but my knee is still sore and I suspect lots of high intensity bending and hopping won't make it happy....so I'll have to wait a while longer

A fun run with Liv, from morialta. Took the same route as Bridget and I did a few weeks ago. It was fun! My legs felt very bluergh though. Maybe I've lost that good running feeling I've had since Easter :(

Also I only stopped my watch when we got a drink at norton summit. we stopped a couple of other times during the run but I kept my watch running - so time might not be accurate.

Did a 3km at the north adelaide track. Did 12.29. Prettttty slow, so I am disappointed....however I don't really think rolling straight out of bed at 6am and doing a "time trial" is exactly ideal for a quick time. And also I did it by myself and the north adelaide track isn't the fastest etc etc etc.... Still, I have lots of work to do!

Was not so enthusiastic this morning, and felt ok warming up but legs struggled to go as quickly as normal...plus my knee is still sore! So I have decided this week will be an easy week. Did 4.5 x 3/3min ints this morning. The last one was really hard and over 3mins because I was chasing a girl who was a fair way ahead. Hopefully she didn't realise I was trying to catch her haha.

Soooo today was a day I would like to forget. Long story short: I ran slightly off the map....then proceeded to run further off the map....then spent ages trying to get myself back on the map. So, I think the best thing to do is try not to get too depressed about it, and pretend that it was a middle distance race that finished at the control before I ran off the map. Had a reasonable run up to that point and was feeling quite ok running. I didn't run any more of the course after my little adventure off the map, since by then I had lost all confidence in myself. Going to try and put it behind me!!!!!!

Running off the map and my adventure trying to get back to somewhere so I could relocate, and then run to the finish. I'm going to be honest, I did get a little panicked out there. But, I shall dwell on it no more!!!!!

40min tempo out and back part way around north adelaide. Felt like I was pretty slow today but turns out I was pretty much as fast as last week.
Knee was pretty sore this morning and last night (woke up a couple of times in the night when it hurt) sooo was worried about running today....but strangely enough I didn't feel it at all when I was running....?!? Dunno what is going on!

6x3/3min up river. Didn't feel my sore knee at all, it only hurts when I'm not running....though I don't know if running on the bike path for an hour was good for it. Guess I shall see!

Got the bus to mt osmond and did the same run as last week. Struggled a bit in the first 5-10mins but then felt pretty good for the rest! Soooo fun :D felt good when I finished, and discovered that I had to wait 50mins for the bus home so....

...I decided to run home! Wasn't sure how far it'd be, but figured it wasn't that far to south terrace....didn't take too long at all, though I did walk (not incl in time) along greenhill road or whatever that really busy one is. Took it really easy with lots of stops to check google maps so I didn't get lost in the suburbs somewhere

Neeeeeed to remember to do this regularly, so am going to log it to make sure I actually do it!! Bad shin is feeling a little strange/niggly during the day (unless I'm imagining it) so need to be good at stretching all those lower leg muscles

Caught the bus to mt osmond for a sweet run on the single tracks there...not really sure where I went but ran on some single tracks further round from mt osmond too. Tried to run hardish, especially up the hills. Felt pretty good but died coming back up so was pretty stuffed after. Realllly fun though!
Stopped briefly to check the map and also to check messages from gin since he was updating me on tiomila :D
