Unintentional rest day. Had the worst day in the lab, and so was feeling too drained and emotional to force myself to do my planned intervals. Will try again tomorrow.

running hills 1:10:09 [5]

Hill ints at morialta - did 4x3mins and 3x1min. Wanted to run in a loop, rather than going back and forth up the same hill, so just sort of did them when I was at a hill (so recoveries were variable in time). Felt pretty good! How strange. Had a pretty terrible sleep again having weird dreams about talking to my supervisor at uni and going into the lab and finding out I've done everything wrong.....woke up scared!

Core with Lauren at the pool, before getting in the water! It was fun. We did a 1min push-up challenge and I did 27 of them...pretty sure I should soon be able to do way more than that though.

Pool running with Lauren after strength. I didn't bring my pool running belt so did it without - soooo much harder! Had to do it in short intervals then rest my arms for a bit haha. Weakling!

Decided yesterday that I wouldn't run black hill today - yes, what a pansy I am. But I'd had a terrible week losing sleep stressing about uni, and also my tummy has been weird all week and I've felt really sick at the thought of any food. So I got the bus to mt osmond for a chilled run there. Explored some new tracks in Cleland then totally died at ~75mins, but still had to run (crawl) back to the bus stop. So the run didn't end up being that "chilled" after all. Oh well. Saw a joey and some koalas so it was ok.

Easy evening run. Went somewhere new in north adelaide - it was exciting!!
Had a relatively restful day studying in bed, so was feeling a bit less stressed today.

Pool run at unley with Lauren! It was great, time went super fast. Meant to run today but was feeling a bit blah and extremely stressed so this was just perfect :)
Really not feeling like running black hill on Sunday, feeling way too strained with uni right now :(

Mmmm woops, totally didnt intend to go for this long.
Did the intervals: 8min/6/4/2/1 all with equal recovery. I found it hard, but was satisfied with my effort. Timed it really badly so I was waaaaay up the river when I turned around, so had like a 35min warm down haha (which I walked some of, which is included in the time). Can't be bothered separating the warm up and down from the intervals, so I'm just going to log the whole 90mins as intensity 5!!

Was super keen for a hills session at morialta, but started feeling sick on the bus there, and felt worse and worse as I ran. Tried to run through it but couldn't :( managed to run for 58mins which is ok but it was really slow and I'm really annoyed :(

A long run with the arrows...somewhere up in the hills. I don't actually know exactly where we went.
Had a crappy sleep after I woke up and saw Bridget and Simon's cat was sitting next to my head staring at me - scared the bajeezus out of me, and after that I kept having cat nightmares!
Anyway, so felt fairly average but it was a really good run, some really pretty parts! :)

A subthreshold run around morialta. Heart rate average was apparently 200bpm with max of 253bpm haha! Sure it was...
Today was probably the last day before uni becomes death and I may have to start doing some all-nighters :( So it was lovely to get out in the sunshine! Think I probably got sunburnt though, as I forgot to wear sunscreen woooooops

Yay, I did some training!
Met Lauren at Blackwood gym to do a strength session. It was awesome! We did lots of cool exercises, including a few jumps and agility-type stuff. I will probably be sore tomorrow!
Pretty cool gym too, and I didn't have to pay anything to do a casual visit :) Would love to go there regularly but it's not very close to my house.....better just move to blackwood ;)

Ran over to north adelaide to do ints after uni. Was supposed to join the trail runners but not do a super hard session. Got there and realised I was super unmotivated and feeling very negative about running and life in general and blah di blah, so stopped running and walked home haha! Maybe some motivation will appear soon....

Aus relay, in a team with jacqui and shea! Was feeling a bit low on motivation today (kinda tired and annoyed with my orienteering during the week) so just went out with the aim to navigate better than yesterday. Felt like I definitely did that! Lost some minutes on the long leg when I got caught in rock on a poor approach to the control, and also lost some more minutes on the last little loop of the course when I was a bit too low on one control and very hesitant and unsure to another control. Apart from that the nav was pretty good, I was just not running fast enough to do a good time! It was fun though :)

running warm up/down 25:00 [3]

Short warm up, then collected controls as a warm down. Not a huge amount of running during control collecting, but had to walk up and down the hill to the spectator control a few times, so it totally counts!

Made so many mistakes. Two large 5mins ones and numerous other smaller 1min ones. Annoying!!!!!!!!!!!! Head wasn't in the right place, obviously. Or maybe I just can't orienteer anymore?

Did the senior boys course from yesterday. Time includes the jog to the start. Didn't do the whole course, but the parts I did do we're pretty good. Felt a bit tired running today.

A steady run around Bruce ridge. Planned to run at sparrow on the way home from the schools champs, but we met a rider there who said heaps of pines were falling down everywhere cuz it was so windy...so we ditched that idea. Felt pretty good running
