Morning run at ainslie then up to majura pines. Went while it was still dark so prepared for cold temperatures....but apparently it was 4 (according to the car) so I was well overdressed! Such a nice time of day though, might make this regular :D
Felt good running, shin was hurting a little though grr.

8x3min while watching the Olympics. Or maybe I should say the swimming....don't know if it's just me watching at the wrong time but the coverage is so crap! I enjoy swimming, but I'd like to see some other sports..and some events that don't have Australians in them.

Went to stromlo for this- omg I have missed stromlo soooo much! It's the best! Keen to go there every weekend for my 'long' run :D
Felt really good - must have been the extreme chocolate cake sah made for Lizzie's bday yesterdayy. Shin was good 2/3 of the time....bit concerned about it but not sure what I can do apart from run less which is the last thing I desire to do.

Up to ainslie, along a bit, then back the same way. Felt ok....quads arent so sore. Garmin pace was ok considering.
Uh also, I think my HRM is having a spaz as the data below is most definitely not accurate, my average HR felt like it was mostly around 155-165, I was trying pretty hard....it also explains the last few days weird readings.
Shin sore in last 5mins. Complete rest day tomorrow!

Straight after my run. Didn't smash myself as much as Monday but it was still pretty hard. Got a bit slack near the end though, found myself laying on the floor in a daze a few times haha.

pretty standard, highlight was coming across 4 (!!) policemen that were ensuring cyclists dismounted before crossing a pedestrian crossing.....didnt realise that was such a high priority.

still have sore quads, so this was just as slow as yesterday...but on the bright side my shin was pretty good :D

orienteering 58:47 [3]

event out at kowen. chose a short course and pretty much crawled around (shin was a little sore so was very tentative). bit depressed by how hopeless i was....very slow and unco through the terrain and just no aggression. navigation was also terrible. but it was a nice way to do a run, and i guess i can only get better from here!

Attempted a run in the morning but shin was really bad. GODDAM WTF
Spent all day at a theme park running from ride to ride then from water slide to water slide, so got some exercise atleast. awesome that it's winter here in qld and it's warm enough to spend the day in bathers going on water slides :)

Went out along the esplanade (yay autocorrect) again before sunrise. Was really nice but my shin was hurting at each heel strike....so I decided to be sensible and just stop. Hopefully a rest day or two will make it happy. Gotta look at the long term so I remain patient!

Out and back along the espionage at surfers paradise. Went pretty early (pre-sunrise) and there were so many people out!! Found some ok parks, but most of it was still on pavement which I doubt my shin enjoyed.

Felt way easier than last time, maybe I wasn't going hard enough? Watched a GOT episode, so the time flew by. Good way to train :)

Felt a little weaker than usual in the prone holds, but it may have felt harder because I wasn't doing it on carpet (which is easier to grip)

Solo drive home to Canberra. Glad to make it alive! Driving on country Victorian roads a few hours before sunrise in very thick fog is a recipe for disaster. Almost drove off the road at one point despite going very slowly :/ and considering my lack of driving experience I'm glad to make it back in one piece. Too tired for any kind of training.

Awesome run, last one in ballarat for the next 8ish weeks :( I shall miss the endless forest! Wore my nike lunareclipse (as opposed to asics, which i always wear for some reason) plus chose a slightly flatter route than usual - calves didnt hurt at all! So not sure if it was the hills or shoes that were making them bad....they def hurt more when going uphill but i suspect it was the shoes...or a combination. anyway, am going to wear my nikes more often :)

cruise around the forest, very pleasant. calves were no better than the other day......stopped and walked for a short time at one point when they were really bad, and then after that they were a lot better. Bit strange!
had my once-yearly coffee this morning and consequently felt really weird in the head all day.

beaut day again, got a little carried away reading my book though so left a little later than intended! nice run though, really enjoyed it. lower legs got very bad from 20min onwards......i dont know what they keep tightening up from! stretched them at 9am this morning, then again at 11am and they had somehow become very tight :S going to wear my compression socks 24/7 and see if that helps.

easy run in the sunshine - yep, ballarat is on a good streak with the weather haha. pretty muddy still, slippery and slidey everywhere. Felt really good everywhere but lower legs - they werent cooperating today (sore calves mostly, and shin a little at end). maybe need to stretch more than once a day? :/

4 days of running in a row....shin bit niggly on occasions, but i think it's fine and i can (touch wood) say that im fully recovered from my shin splints/stress fracture :)

HOORAY. cant believe i spent so much mental energy worrying. hopefully this means i can transfer to UniSA next year :D:D
