Bendigo night O. This was soooo fun, and really good training for racing/pushing hard. Was with the boys for most of it - until the long track leg towards the end when I started to get dropped :( Caught up a little on the last few controls and finished just behind them all.....so that's ok I guess. Maaaaybe I'm not as unfit as I was starting to think!

Also I did actually mispunch (ha...ha...) - punched one on a depression a bit lower than my actual control. After I left it I did think it felt wrong but I didn't want to get dropped by the pack so continued on....kinda stupid logic but I figured it would be better training to run with the boys and push myself rather than dawdle alone in the dark.

Same session as last week: 4x30sec(1min) 3x3min(2min) 4x4min(1min). Felt reasonable, didn't get quite as far as last time though which is rather annoying. Totally smashed after, this session is really hard (or I think it is anyway)

Ez in the forest again. Actually felt really tired, so didn't do intervals and even had to walk a bit :/ :/ a bit frustrating....not sure why I'm so tired! Was utterly smashed on Friday night after a huge week of work so maybe that didn't help.

Bendigo O plus very long warm up and slightly shorter warm down. CBF separating it out (but took 42:32 on my course). A bit of a scrappy race - probably lost about 3 or 4 mins all up. Also felt quite tired running...not sure why! Anyway, it was really fun

Half an orienteering course and then I did intervals on the tracks. Really struggled to concentrate on the O course - had a big headache and bad period pain. So intervals were a good brainless alternative. Twas a pretty good session.

Ez in the forest. Winter weather feelings- it was 7 degrees with an apparent temp of -1 :/ :/ had to wear a thermal and a jacket!

Night O in nerrina plus run there and back. Gfry shadowed me during the O which was nice. It was fun, I really enjoyed it. But then I had a really scary experience with a bogan car following me on my run back home in the dark (by myself), so am a bit scared to do this again :( :(

Threshold up the river. Felt bad at the start and considered bailing. Then felt really good and thrashed myself trying to outrun some random guy who didn't want to let me get past (I won and dropped him). Then at my turn around point up the river I died and struggled back home. Not ideal!

40/20s up the river in the dark. It was fun! Legs were sore and heavy in the warm up, so I almost pulled the pin, but I decided to do at least one set and then decide - weirdly they felt waaay better running hard than jogging :/ so it was a good session. I think my body de-conditions really quickly, so doing weights again after 1.5 weeks off freaked them out.

Easter chasing start. This was really fun (in retrospect haha). I started first and had Tash 70 secs behind me, and then Krystal and Bridget another minute behind her. Was really nervous at the start and scared of blowing up....thankfully I kept it together and never saw any of the other girls - kept checking over my shoulder though haha!

Stoked to win overall, though am a little disappointed in my individual runs- was kinda just consistently ok.....Ah well, all things considered, this weekend could have gone a lot worse for me!!

Easter long. So annoyed....I totally talked myself out of this race. Felt like I was running very slowly and navigating terribly, so sort of gave up and just bumbled around. Turns out my time wasn't too bad. Whyyyyy whyyyy am I so stupid?!?! Somehow I'm in the lead overall so tomorrow I really need to get pumped and get my claws out (in a nice way haha)...
