8 AM

Strength and Conditioning 20:00 [3]

Started weights but had to stop because I suddenly felt really faint (had terrible period pain, sorry for potentially too much info) - had to lie down in a foetal position for the rest of the morning in a cold sweat trying not to vomit. It was actually really scary, have only had it that bad once before. And never again please....
6 PM

running 44:12 [3]

Just a slow one up the creek

running intervals 1:24:05 [5]

40/20s up the creek. Not a huge fan of doing intervals at 6am but definitely wasn't gonna be able to do it this evening! Sun had some bite already...

Was in toorak last night so went for a jog to look at the mansions. Felt ok
10 AM

running warm up/down 41:23 [3]

orienteering race 17:05 [5]

Vic champs sprint. Had an ok run except for number 12, where I didn’t see a very small gap (partly obscured by the control circle) and so went a very very long way around and lost over 1min!! Bleughhhhhh. Also lost 30 seconds from a small mistake early in the course ....but at least I felt strong running. And it was fun :)

Saturday Nov 25, 2017 #

running 30:00 [3]

Yog. Sweaty af
2 PM

running 1:14:12 [3]

Warm up, sprint into spring, warm down, then jogged the training with gin. (Can't be bothered separating it all out)

Completelyyyyy minced the sprint......aaaaand mispunched.... oooops! A little bit cbf with orienteering at the moment but hopefully I can get it sort of together for tomorrow at least...

Friday Nov 24, 2017 #

Had a big lie in this morning which was niiiice. Then ran up the creek and felt pretty good, glad there were lots of clouds so it wasn't too hot

Strength and Conditioning 1:00:00 [3]

Weights and plyos. Need to increase the weights next time, and start box jumps (once I've stop being a chicken!)

Wednesday Nov 22, 2017 #

6 PM

running 44:12 [3]

Tuesday Nov 21, 2017 #

7 AM

running 30:00 [3]

Ez down the river. Not a huge fan of this weather...
6 PM

running 1:10:00 [4]

(Bit confused by all the laps on my watch, so time is a guesstimate)
Run from office to training, warm up, sprintervals, warm down, jog back to office. Felt like an unco blob running, but it was super fun! So good at forcing you to read ahead/be able to relocate quickly

Ez down the river. Sweated buckets for some reason, it wasn't even that hot :/
5 PM

running 1:15:23 [3]

Friday Nov 17, 2017 #

8 AM

Strength and Conditioning 1:00:00 [3]

Weights + plyos. This was so hard after last night, especially because I felt too sick to have a proper dinner (yes yes yessss, not ideal).

Thursday Nov 16, 2017 #

7 AM

running 30:00 [3]

Ez down the river. Half asleep...but legs felt ok
6 PM

running intervals 1:35:20 [5]

5 x compound mile reps up the river. Unintentional long warm down because I got distracted trying to find a tap to drink from. Felt good but also slow (if that makes sense).

Also today I accepted a postdoc research job at Melbourne uni. Super excited that I no longer have to worry about preparing my CV for McDonald's ;)

Wednesday Nov 15, 2017 #

6 PM

running 41:20 [3]

Ez up the river. Felt good running but otherwise felt dreadful today - actually fell asleep for a few hours at my computer while I was writing my thesis (wasn't in the office though thank god)

Tuesday Nov 14, 2017 #

Long warm up, 6x5x40/20s, long warm down. Haven't done intervals in forever - felt SO out of shape!! Good thing I didn't do the time trial yesterday.... :D

Sunday Nov 12, 2017 #

Long run. It was nice, felt quite low on energy though (may or may not have forgotten to eat dinner last night...) so didn't last for very long...

Yog to O training, O training, yog part of the way home. Felt really good again (????) but sore knee really didnt like the steep slopes so I spat the dummy and jogged around the tracks

Mmmmmmmmk I think I seriously need to man the hell up, because my training effort since nationals has been dismal....

Wednesday Nov 8, 2017 #

3 PM

running 38:00 [3]

Ez down the river. Felt really good (dafuq).

Wrote one sentence of my thesis today. Quality.

Tuesday Nov 7, 2017 #

running 1:35:00 [3]

4 Peaks day 4. Almost a repeat of day 2 - got stuck behind a never ending train of people on the single tracks. And I tend to just sit on whoever is in front of me and go at their pace, so only really got going at the end when some gaps opened up.

Super nice areas to run but never felt like I was able to actually race it and would probably go a lot faster if i just ran it by myself...maybe I just have terrible race tactics and need to get my elbows out

Monday Nov 6, 2017 #

running 2:30:00 [3]

Bright 4 Peaks day 3. This was so fun actually - randomly made friends with a Scottish girl early on and we started chatting and ended up running the whole race together haha. Made the time pass super quickly! Forgot to take a gel though so started to seriously die near the end. Bloody freezing at the finish and had to wait 90min for a bus in my sweaty clothes and 2 degrees...that was NOT fun

Sunday Nov 5, 2017 #

8 AM

running 2:00:00 [3]

Bright 4 Peaks day 2 (not sure of exact time). Super nice, I had a completely shit start though- my bag broke about 10 seconds after the start, so once I had fixed it and got on the single track, I was stuck behind a never ending line of people. Tried to pass a lot of them and then just gave up and tucked in behind a group of women. Was pretty fun to do it slowly and just chill, but actually felt quite good so wouldn't have minded pushing harder...oh well
10 AM

running 1:30:00 [3]

Run back down. Probably should have walked more of this, it kinda hurt my quads

Saturday Nov 4, 2017 #

8 AM

running 1:22:00 [3]

Bright 4 Peaks day 1. Took it quite easy - though a lot of the climb was hard to even walk up! Dont reallyyyyy want to absolutely destroy myself this weekend, so might try and be conservative tomorrow too

Friday Nov 3, 2017 #

9 AM

running 38:19 [3]

Ez down the river. Felt ok

Thursday Nov 2, 2017 #

6 PM

running 46:12 [3]

Ez...up the river. Debated whether or not to do intervals, but I don't really want to die this weekend (running bright 4 peaks) sooo ez it was.
