Essentially a rest day. But I did have a lot of participants in today so spent most of the day walking up and down to and from the 7th floor at uni...so got some incidental exercise at least!

Ran over to the north adelaide orienteering and ran course 1 (took me 20:34). Felt fairly ok this morning, so maybe would have been able to join the others for a long run this morning...oh well. A good tempo run today was still good training.

Quads and glutes really fatigued from gym yesterday (but not as sore as Wednesday/Thursday thank god!) so this wasn't the greatest session - quads got tired really quickly so form kinda went out the window and I felt tired. Good effort though, heart rate was in the right zone for each of them. Kinda annoying that DOMS from the gym has destroyed any quality running I might have done this week but oh well.

My heart, lungs and head wanted to do more running (even though my legs really didn't want to) so went for a lunch run part way around north adelaide. It was enjoyable but I feel possibly more sore now :/

Snuck out of uni for a run, but was sooo hungry and had expended so much nervous energy that morning that it didn't go very well and I just felt exhausted. Nice to get some sunshine anyway. And VERY happy to have now completed 50% of my assessment for honours, however still have a 7am-~7pm day to do at uni tomorrow so can't relax just yet. Annoyed that training has suffered so much but I guess that's just the way it goes!

Also my resting heart rate is still really high....dunno if that's stress or I'm over-tired or I'm fighting some minor infection...??? Next few days will be hell at uni, but if it doesn't return to normal after that I might get worried.

Long run with Bridget, Tyson and Troy. And Simon appeared near the end, but pretty much ran straight past me so can't really say I ran with him. We went...uuuuup to crafers....and back down. Or something like that. Had a bit of a panic near the end because I thought I was lost (but really I wasn't), so doubled a few times to find Bridget which killed me cuz I was sooo tired by then. Didn't feel terribly wonderful today, but did ok. Hammies pretty tired so dunno what I'll be up to tomorrow.

5x1k at the north adelaide track. Times between 3.50 and 3.56...except for the first one which was 4.07 (maybe hadn't warmed up enough). I find 1k reps really tough, so glad to get the session done. Think the only reason I was faster today than previously was because I was more rested, not because I've actually got faster. Maybe. Probably.

Slept terribly as all I could think about was my presentation at uni in a week.....it's going to be a loooooong week :(

Middle distance. Super fun! I had a pretty good run - a few misses and direction wobbles (most significant one was at no12...prob only lost ~40secs though) but mostly good and felt pretty good running. Need to be a bit better on my compass.

Long race. Overshot number one, but realised pretty quickly...maybe max 1min lost there. A bit too hesitant on a few others, but mostly a pretty good run after that. Felt reasonable running, but did have a bad patch in the middle, before feeling better towards the end again. Really enjoyed it!! Love running at the Flinders

Did the 3hr score event as a long run, intending to run for two hours. Therefore, did not take optimal routes to controls as I preferred to run on the tracks the long way around. A fun way to do a long run! Tried to do it all at a solid pace, think I did pretty well but did get pretty tired towards the end and walked the steeper hills.

Noticed sore knee today - mostly on steep downhills or up hills, and also when running through rough rocky stuff. It's not feeling very good to be honest, so I am going to blow some money on a physio appointment.
