Arrows ints at north adelaide. Had a really shitty, stressful day and so of course I was also feeling crap running too....the others all did a 3km time trial but i just did mona fartlek, skipping the float recoveries (i made them normal (slow) recovery speed) and not busting my gut during the efforts. According to my garmin I was faster today than I was 4 weeks ago when I did mona fartlek....i sure felt slower though!

Easyish run along some tracks on the rogaine map, just doing some exploring and stopping to look at some cool rocks and cliffs. Very pretty! I was feeling really blah (probably after a crappy nights sleep) so didn't go for longer than this.

Easy run at the rogaine near flinders ranges. i had to put some lollies and fruit out at a control for some kids and was planning on running there but found it difficult to do so with a bag of food! So walked there and explored a bit more then ran for a bit, but felt tired so walked the rest back to the hash house!

Ran up Mt Remarkable, back down, then some extra on the single bike tracks to make it to 2hrs. ~6.2km to the top of Mt Remarkable, at a nice gradient but it was still all uphill...so was slow going up, and took my time to enjoy some views! Felt pretty damn tired after I finished!

Went for a run at the same place Kay took me last week (Mt Osmond I think?). It was sweeeeet, the hills were covered in mist so it was really pretty! Somehow managed to miss getting any rain on me, which would have made a cold bus trip home...

Ladders intervals with the arrows. I felt ok for the first 200 then my legs felt fairly crappy after that. And I got a massive stitch ...tummy has been feeling yukky today, probably from some bread I ate a few days ago that I put on a chopping board my housemate had cut raw chicken on. Gross.
Anyway, still a good session! And good dinner after :)

Considering how tired I was yesterday I decided to call today a rest day. Muscles of my lower legs are really tight, and bad shin is even a little sore...think I'll have an easy day tomorrow too!

Sprint training with some of the Arrows. Started off with 3 x~1km sprint intervals, then me and Jenny did a map memory exercise with one of the womens courses from the NOL. Time includes some standing rest between the sprint intervals. And also includes time to collect tapes after.
I was feeling really tired today, and my legs were really sore! So I was struggling...still good fun :)

Just an easy run, with some stops to stretch. Thank goodness Adelaide has so much nice parkland around the city - or I would go crazy!

Ideally would have loved to have gone for a ride today, but annoyingly the elbow I busted when I fell over at the NOL in Adelaide is still too sore to straighten properly :(

North adelaide ints with the arrows. We did some 200s hard with 200 easy recovery...i cant remember how many we did. It's somewhere on my garmin....
Anyhoo, my legs found it hard trying to remember how to run fast so my hammys were dead at the end! Good session though :D I'm sure it did me loads of good!
We also did some core after.
Ran to and from home (the longer way around the construction) so did a pretty long warm up and down.

'Long' run at Morialta - but was actually very short for a long run...mostly because I was feeling pretty stuffed before I even started, and my legs were sore and tired upon waking up this morning. And also my knee is still sore so I am a little worried as to why it isn't getting better yet....
Aaaaanyway, think the ultra long from last weekend is still in me and so it was good to take it easy. Was a fun run anyway!

Arrows ints in north adelaide, second time this week yaaaaaay! Hope this can be regular :D
We did 200 400 600 800 600 400 200 (except the 800 wasn't meant to be in there...but Simon mistakenly told me it was part of the session!) all with 200 'float' recovery.
My legs felt really sluggish and my 'floats' got slower and slower....Simon kindly ran with me for the intervals but I doubt he got much of a workout haha!
Good training though!! :D

Long warm up and down again cuz I ran from home, and went the long way to the uni loop in my warm up.

Had planned a hard session today, but was feeling totally worn out so just did an easy jog along the river. Felt better than yesterday at least!
Uni tests are over, and two weeks of "holidays" (no classes but still lots of work to do) starts now, so should be feeling a bit more relaxed soon!

Went for a run after an intense test at uni, but felt crappy and was sooooooo hungry!!!! Decided it wasn't worth trying to go for longer, plus it was only meant to be a recovery run, so went home!

Ints at north Adelaide with Mel, Bridget, Sally and Liv, except they all did a 3km time trial ...I didn't want to do that as I did the ultra long on the weekend and don't need something else to make me feel bad about O/running!
So I did Mona fartlek, which was a bit slow I think but alright considering the weekend. Still good to have company for the warm up and down :)
Ran to/from home so sort of did two warm ups and downs...my first warm up was 20mins so this session ended up being quite long and I was stuffed when I got home...

Easy jogging to collect controls from yesterday. Walked a lot too, but have only logged the bits I jogged.
Obviously very tired as I made the biggest rookie error when I was collecting a simple control - trotted off down the wrong track for ages until I realised and had to do a 180 haha!

Australian ultra long - on my favourite maps! :D was really fun, in an epic way, but unfortunately I was feeling crappy today and my legs were tired after the first few controls (with about 45 to go!!)...made a few mistakes but nothing huge. And i was rooted on the last loop so my brain felt like mush and i dont think i naviated very well haha.
My long runs have mostly been about 90mins since my injury, so I wasn't exactly in shape for this race, but I'm feeling really annoyed and frustrated at my orienteering at Easter and today. Feel kinda like im just way behind where I want to be :(

Easter Day 3. First half of the course felt like it was uphill to me, and my legs were super tired and calves super tight so it was a struggle and I wasn't enjoying it....but then the course started going downhill and it was sweet haha! Felt like I was actually racing properly in the second half, which I don't feel I have done in an orienteering race for at least a year. So that was a good way to finish Easter!

My results haven't been very good over the whole weekend, but I feel like I've come a long way since the end of last year, so am really satisfied. Also - no troubles with my shin!! :D
