Pool running at eureka pool, outdoor so I prob got sunburnt! Hardly anyone there which was goooood. No clocks anywhere and I didn't have a phone or watch so time is a complete guess. Think it would have been more than 45mins though.

10min w/u then 15mins at sprint O pace, with some sprint maps from JEC (thanks gin) to look at so it felt like i was doing a sprint...sort of. then 15min w/d.
couldnt get legs to go very fast at all! looked at garmin at 9mins and pace was terrible, so stopped and walked for a bit then did the last 6mins, which was better but still not great. maaaaaybe im just tired from the last few days, plus i was meant to have a rest day yesterday.....hope i can get some speed before the 5 days/oceania!

Did an O course with the Prendergasts at Nerrina. Haven't been Oing in a very long time, and have done such a small amount this year that i was worried i'd forgotten how! Managed to navigate ok but have no terrain-running fitness so struggled big time and was exhausted after 30mins haha.
Tried to run at race pace (or more like race effort, because it was slow).
Good wake up call to how bad my orienteering fitness is - got some work to do before the 5days!!

6x3min ints through the pine forest, following the taped terrain loop, with 90sec slow jog rec. found it really hard and felt really slow, maybe just because of the soft ground and slippery logs to negotiate. can only get better from here! if i do this every week for the next month or so i should get fit :D

Easy ride with moth out on the flat roads around invermay. Perfect weather for riding! Wasn't very long but felt harder than it should have so I think it's good enough. Ride up the hill back to our house was hard!
Also rode in cleats the whole way, gin would be proud

Note

Went to podiatrist in ballarat and got a biomechanical assessment and some moulds done for orthotics. Is going to cost a very large amount but I'm confident it'll help my shin troubles....hope I don't lose them when I get them!!!

Morning run before leaving Canberra :(
Gin dropped me at Bruce ridge so I went around the single tracks there and went into black mtn for a loop as well. Was thirsty after about 5mins, which was unfortunate as it was a pretty warm morning and so no surprise I was reaaaaalllly thirsty and dying at the end. Made it not so fun as I felt light headed, but my legs were good! Good to go for a bit longer:)

Also my biceps are sore from lifting furniture yesterday. Bahaha, I'm a weakling

Gin came but he rode while I ran. Did them up cardiac arrest which was really rocky and slow going because it's pretty rough. But it's the effort that counts not the speed, and I felt pretty tired at the end!!!

Feeling good in the legs but just don't have much motivation for some decent training today, think ive been a bit wiped out by exams. Anyway, taking another easy day today despite having one yesterday.

Wow this was the hardest ride in I've ever done, legs were stuffed from my run and it was pretty windy...i just wanted to curl up in bed for a nap!!
Was a bit better on the way home cuz I had a tailwind :D

Morning single track ints. Almost didn't get out for this, was feeling pretty hungry when I woke up so was considering doing it tomorrow instead...so glad I went though, I felt really good! Did one more rep than last time and felt a bit faster but ran out of energy near the end.
Also I don't know how I managed to take nearly 80mins for this session...guess my w/u/d was pretty long.

Single track run on ainslie and majura, explored heaps of new tracks which was so fun! Felt really stiff and bleugh for the first half hr but then felt good :D
Shin was mostly painless but had a few sharp jolts of pain from it on heel strike for a few steps going uphill....bit weird. Also have a new blood blister on the medial side of my big toe which is baaaaad as it means I'm not running correctly biomechanically....hmm

Hillllllllls on the normal single track on ainslie. First two were really slow and i wasn't feeling great, then must have woken up and the rest were good, and were a but faster than last time.
Pretty screwed on the warm down, was so thirsty and feeling a bit dizzy :/

Felt ok...had some aches and pains in my legs near the end, my bad tibia hurt a bit too :(

Steady morning run on the norm single track route to majura pines (where this is still one small patch that hasn't been thinned) then half up majura then home.
Soleus was really bad for the first half, but on the bright side the shin was ok! Felt really good after my soleus started behaving, felt like I could have run for longer...but considering my shin is a bit fragile I decided not to.

morning hills on the same track as last week. did the same session but didn't quite get as far as last time, legs were feeling quite heavy and generally bad.
was also super paranoid about my shin hurting. i think it was fine, but any slight hint of pain put me into panic mode....quite annoying, would like to just forget about it so i can enjoy my run and not have to feel all afraid that it's going to get bad again. bleugh.

Shin was maybe a bit sore at times, but hard to know if it's just me being paranoid. If it's sore for my run tomorrow I will be very VERY angry

Ohh man this was a sweaty session. Within 10mins my shirt was soaked through :/ bit weird....near the end i did discover I had the resistance higher than normal.....so maybe that's why I was sweating heaps....
Listened to a genetics lecture I missed. It was super boring and I wasn't really paying attention so will prob have to listen again before my exam haha

Sweet run up to majura pines, found a small section there that hadn't been thinned yet so cruised in there a bit then went home.
Soleus got all tight and ouchy for the first 30mins, but then got better as usual. A bit annoying cuz it means only half of this run felt decent. ohhh well. Still enjoyed it!

Easy run on my normal 60min loop of ainslie. Went where i got swooped last time...but managed to escape unscathed this time :D
Soleus got pretty tight and uncomfortable which was annoying! Maybe cuz I didn't really stretch yesterday. Got better after 30mins as usual. Felt pretty good apart from that!
Shin was ok

Morning hills at ainslie. Chose a new hill further away hence this session took quite a while. Did them on a rocky, single track which is quite steep in places so was good training! Pushed hard and felt not too bad, would like to be faster but maybe that'll come in time. So nice to do it early in the morning :)
