Oing at mt tarrengower. Had sooooo much fun! the rain stopped and the sun (sorta) came out, and I felt pretty good running (still had to walk a few hills). Nav was mostly good, but I sucked at my precision in the circle - always knew exactly which clump of rocks the control would be in, but never knew which boulder. Bad habit I have!! Need to work on that so I don't have to search in the circle and waste time.
Bit slippery in my running shoes but can't face my o shoes yet, just thinking about them hurts my shin!!

Little run at white swan. Felt tired again but legs were a bit better than yesterday. Some dude with a metal detector was lurking in the bushes next to the track and scared the bejezus out of me!!
Didn't feel shin at all yaaaaay! Should be good for some granite oing this Saturday :D

drove to nerrina and ran there, should have actually drawn myself a course in the mining to do....but oh well, it was fun to explore the tracks. felt really bad though, crawled along at a snails pace. grr

Normal strength, warm up was getting a wheelbarrow of wood for the fire, which was good balance training!

from our house just a wander around the forest, some on the great dividing trail which was niiiice :) it was semi-sunny for a change too! miff came and lay in every puddle we came to haha.

first time orienteering in..... ~11-12 weeks! woo, it was SO FUN! just a bendigo event, chose a short one as i was only meant to run for 30mins today. course actually took me 40mins but i stopped my garmin every time i wasnt actually running - which was up two hills and during one large mistake haha.
happy with how shin went - good for most but started to hurt in the last few mins. felt good running, but noticeably less confident on the rocky patches than pre-injury, and not feeling as strong through the terrain.
navigation was awesome for the first few, then i ruined that by making one small mistake and one big one. didnt feel confident at all in nav, kept doubting myself. ah well, i guess i must have been pretty rusty!

run with moth in the forest. was really good, felt like i could have kept going (AKA didnt die like yesterday haha) and it was good to do it with some company cuz ballarat was COLD (7 degrees at 3pm the car said) and rainy. canberra weather is much much better, even if it gets colder overnight atleast the sun shines during the day!

Just an out and back from our house (in Ballarat). Felt quite good going out but then pretty bad going home...somehow did a negative split though so did a little loop to the 'stables' and back. If only there were horses there....
Shin relatively pain free on the tracks so ventured into the nice soft pines for some terrain running...shin didnt agree and pain increased noticeably. must be the change in stride length and twisting and turning. frustrating! Need to be careful...

Ints on the trainer: 8x2.5mins with 1min rec. got soaked in sweat! Hard work! Tried reading my book at the same time again which was nice...bit difficult though, found I got a little dizzy at times :/
Now off to ballarat, might even try some o training :D

struggled to get off my bed to do this. thought it would be worth it since it was a nice day / running on single tracks at bruce ridge is awesome but i was so exhausted i didnt enjoy it and was hanging out for the end. :(

just up to ainslie, then turned around and went home via bakers delight for a rye sour dough roll.
garmin died in the last few mins so not 100% sure what the time was but meh close enough. shin felt fiiiiiiiiiine :D can prob stop ticking 'injured' soon :D
last day of study cramming! totally learnt my lesson, never again shall i allow myself to daydream in 90% of my lectures and thus leave the exam period to teach myself the whole course. rookie error!

Same route as yesterday, but 2.5mins further out haha. Took my biochem revision sheet again and learnt about the metabolism of cancer cells. Bit more interesting than yesterday but makes no sense to me, not a great sign since my exam is tomorrow :'(
Shin didn't feel great, to be expected after no stretching or strength stuff for ages plus first run on a consecutive day for like 10weeks. It will be bliss when uni is done...

took my revision sheet so i learnt all about fatty acids being converted to glucose via gluconeogenesis in the liver. thrilling stuff.

would have liked to do my whole strength routine (in fact, i would have liked to do a whole lot of other things) but exam revision is priority no1. even shopping for food has been prioritised below studying. so for a day and a half ive eaten weat bix and milk for every meal ;)

@ bun hill with miff, also made friends with some cows and then some horses. obviously the south side of canberra is better than the north ;)
new world record for slowest run ever, really struggled :( on the plus side my shin didnt bother me too much, and is somehow much less tender to touch than usual today. yay!

15min times 2 with 2min walk inbetween. Went on the single tracks with miff up to the pines and back, suffered up the hill! Passed lizzie doing hill sprints, her recovery jogs were the same pace as my run haha.

Two by 12min run with 2 mins walk inbetween and then 10min run. Accidentally went 40secs over on the first 12min, badass!
Felt better running than last time, as in I didn't feel so unfit. But any 'hills' I jogged up felt really hard. Really enjoyed it though :D
Shin not worse than last time I ran but am concerned by how tender it is to touch. Not sure what to do....

Found it really hard, grateful to be running but kept checking my watch when I'd only done like 4mins as it felt long...and I felt puffed. Hopefully will get easier, just have to be patient.
Shin not too bad but would prefer to not be feeling it at all.

Legs so sore today. Not sure if it was the strength stuff or the run from yesterday. Eek. (legs as in quads, not tib ant!!)
Going to have a week off riding to give my body more time to adjust to running before I start loading it with proper riding training. Frustrating but have to be patient!
