we did some bare foot 500s on the greeeen track at stromlo
legs felt awful and heavy and i struggled moving them :(
so i only did like 2 and then lay on the grass.....

fartlek kinda stuff since i randomly did some 100s, 200s, 500s and lots of hills.
felt stiff and tight (specially in the calves) so coudnt get myself going fast and struggled abit on all the non-hill ones.

went waaaay too conservatively :S
wanted to hold back abit at the start (since i usually go too hard) and then go harder on the second lap....so i held back abit too much maybe and then i was distracted on the second lap cuz i needed to go to the toilet.....
grr
could have gone way faster!!!

was not feeling very good at all - calves we tight and hurty
also found most of the time there was a massive train to follow so i didnt get much navigating done...but good sesh physically!

i needed more recovery from this AM, and this course was way intense!!! so i just did the sand mining bits at the bottom...and started up the big hill but then bailed
i figure that it wouldnt be very good training if i was really tired the whole way

also felt awful this morning, i think eon passed his cold onto me. so i lay in the sun watching the winter olympics all day............what a hard life :P

XC @ north cutin, uphill to turn-around, then back downhill
decided now is a good time to start doing some speed stuff........
cuz i evidently dont have any speed atm :(
felt like i was going to vomit the whole way and considered pulling out but figured that would be abit sissy so struggled on...eurghhh
oh well i gotta start somewhere!

relay training race, with split controls. was fun! but i went the gay route straight through the green...

also went hunting the wild pig eon saw for extra Bear Grylls points...we killed it and ate it for lunch :)

O intervals on badja north, awesome fun!! badja is actually the coolest map ever. (apart from the massive new fence through the middle of it). Its really physical and really technical too, which is sweet :D

we all got Bear Grylls points for being hardcore since we: didnt bail on camping again even though it was raining, ate some bark, cleaned our teeth with a stick and bit a head off a catapillar (only richard did this)
no one killed and ate the wild cow we saw though...

PITTWATER day 3 :D
wasnt feeling so enthused today, was abit tired mentally (but felt good physically!)
tried racing/going hard on each control, but due to lack of tapes/markers i had to stop and check i was in the right place...so it was kinda like intervals!
nav wasnt very satisfactory, kept bolting without a plan or attackpoint which was a bad idea... :S

at PITTWATER again :D
just did a pretty long course from the carpark, using some controls that we knew should have some tapes on them...
twas gooood :) i also did some random running around and then relocating on the way back to the finish.
think im getting better at reading the detail and trying to simplify it etc but so far have been doing all this training at a pretty chilled pace, so a race tomorrow might be a good idea :D

time includes our epic finding of the start...it was pretty funny that we couldnt even find that :P
anyway, did some O int-sorta things which were SO fun...until we got to the open bit at the end which was really really tricky and hard to run through cuz of the long spikey grass.
anyway, cant wait to go out again tomorrow!!! :D

set out to do some terrain hill ints but my calves were getting waaaaay tight and sore during the first one, so i bailed to do them on the lovely green flat oval...which then turned into a slow exploration run...

went with sarah to....a map i cant remember...but it was steep and very grass seedy. we did some epic window exercises which actually turned out really well, i thought they were going to be way harder.
my calves were really tight on every hill so we took it pretty easy physically.
we found a pond halfway round and were considering swimming in it (twas pretty hot, even for tassie) when i realised i was pretty much standing on a snake!!! :S

wednesday event out at the water works or something...pretty cool map, twas sprint-like at 1:5000 with some cool detailed bits. and the course had some route choice which was also cool :)
started out hard but then felt so bad i just plodded around the rest....arghhh why do i have to be feeling crap now!?!

sarah took me on a tour of mt knocklofty, it was super extreme hilly...and i died on some of the super extreme hills.
sarah was a gun though and was FAST
i was feeling crap :(

at stromlo with schmolle, eon and george :)
spent alot of time at the start procastinating...but eventually got into it and did 3 x 5 x 30secs hard/30secs jog
doesnt sound like much but felt hard, im actually not sure if we were all doing the same session :S
good to do it with some others, stromlo is so boring otherwise
