Skiing 55:00 [3]

Being the only person at Georgian Nordic (clubhouse closed) it wasn't a good day for an epic fall. Wiped out on the long lynx with my right hip taking most of the impact and my head and right arm the rest. Feeling a bit woozy and being alone I decided to cut the ski short and play it safe.

Note

Etoile and I started watching the OA. Awesome. And it is clearly filmed in the Harriman area (even though it was supposed to be Russia in one scene) so hard not to want to go orienteering when you see the beautiful forests and hills of that amazing park.

Etoile said I was crazy when I stopped Netflix and pushed rewind and said "I've been here .... that;s Harriman". So we looked up on the internet and sure enough I was right.

I wonder how many orienteers have awesome photographic memories?

Skiing 1:35:00 [3]

Cold and icy ski at Georgian Nordic. Lynx was in pretty decent shape for skating but terrible for classic (which is what Heather Smith was attempting - oops). Conditions were fast and I found stability tough but then realized at the end that I had used Emma's skis by mistake. Faile. Hope to ski all week but 5-10cm
of fresh snow would really help.

in between a number of back to back to back conference calls. I guess that's what happens when you are the PI on a $1.9M and a $1.3M proposal at the same time - and both due two weeks apart.

Strength 25:00 [3]

HammerFIT plus stretch and roll afterwards. Pretty sure the neovisc has run its time. Need new injections as training is hurting too much again and that ain't fun.

After 25 consecutive years on OOA, HKF, Gators, COF, GHO or DGL boards I'm taking a break from the admin part of the sport I love. DGL has record membership and record revenues and is in great hands with three awesome employees and a great board of directors and numerous other fantastic and dedicated volunteers. Maybe I'll even run a full RTH for the first time ever.
