Note

Year end totals with % "O" training
2002: 500 hrs (11%)
2003: 356 hrs (21%)
2004: 370 hrs (27%)
2005: 466 hrs (23%)
2006: 376 hrs (33%)

Goal for 2006 was 500 hours (40% O)
A 7 month injury made that tough to reach but after the first 6 months of 2006 with 230 hours (40% O) I was certainly on pace.

Goals for 2007?
1) Get the knee better
2) Improve endurance
3) Run a couple of trails runs and adventure runs
(5 Peaks Rattlesnake, ITT, GRR, Dances with Dirt, a Rogaine?)
4) Give er at some big O races in the autumn (Sprint Series, US Relays, Highlander, US Champs)
5) 375 hours (25% orienteering)

And finally... a little bit of fun:

slept:5.5

Decided the trails were too wet to bike on again today so it was a very fast ride against the wind on the rail trail with Tarno. Wind at our backs on the way back but too many people to try to break the Flying K record.

Strength 30:00 [3]

AM: Core (another early morning)

Cycling 2:20:00 [2]

MTB Mud Fest in the Dundas Valley.

Trying to keep up to the running gang of Tarno, Sudden, Almageddon, TVP and Zoolander. What an awesome training group. 6 of the 7 ultra 25K trail runs were won this year by people living in the Hammer and they all adventure run as well (Tarno x 4, Al x 1, and MrPither x 1) - Now that is a kick ass training group.

Strength 15:00 [2]

Normal stuff.
3 days in a row without a Coke. My head is hurtin'.

Running 20:00 [4] *****

TNT with Sudden, theRock, Meridian, Slice, Bob and Hasty.
First running intervals in several months and it hurt. Hip loosened up which made the knee feel OK (either that or the double dose of drugs did the trick). Although it hurt it was fun to be running with the gang. 10 sets of stairs at the end including 5 frankensteps.

Strength 30:00 [3]

Before flying home from SF (missed Al Gore's talk but with 14,000 scientists at the conference chances of getting in were slim at best).

Running 1:00:00 [2]

Short Dundas with Tarno. Pouring rain and windy (and I mean really pouring rain and really windy) but the knee was OK as long as it was flat (and I do mean perfectly flat). Must be the drugs...
