Strength 15:00 [3]

Again while watching TV. This time LOST. Injury has hit 150 days and no signs of improving... Time to make some new plans.

Strength 20:00 [3]

Considered trying to hobble up the steps at the Museum of Art and do the Rocky Balboa thing.

Instead I did some strength work while watching Monday Night Football.

Strength (Legs) 20:00 [3]

Didn't try upper body since I ate a Philly Steak for dinner. I assumed it was what you did when you were in Philly (my first visit). I think I will stick to normal food for the rest of my stay.

Very disappointed about the lack of hockey on TV here (I mean come on Saturday night is HNIC but clearly not HNIA. But the Flyers suck so I don't blame them.

While watching the 'clean air' act be released.

What a joke! Harper and the *&^*^&(& denial industry in full effect.

I have now gone over 1 year without being sick a single day. Only 1 day sick in last 103 weeks. Now if I could only stay injury free.....

Strength (Legs) 20:00 [3]

While reading a chapter of HEAT. Fantastic book. Exxon bad. Booo.

Orienteering 20:00 [1]

At Rocky Ridge following another consulting meeting in Milton.

Snow scattered around the forest. Staying off my leg didn't last long but I had to pick up one forgotten control and take some awesome pictures of a beautiful field that apparently never existed.

Knees (yes plural) are both sore - so just easy on the rail trail in the flurries. Yes flurries. Nice time to reflect on things.

Mount Nemo vetting. So enjoyable to be out on another great day of orienteering. Very pleased on all the amazing comments we received for the weekend. Now I have to really look after this knee. I have made it much worse than before doing all this vetting and setting the last few weeks.

Rocky Ridge vetting. Everything came together despite many behind the scenes challenges for what many are calling awesome weekend of orienteering. As one European mentioned "so many happy faces". Great to see our friends from the Martimes, western Canada and the US all together.

Canada won the BK Cup again. Led by a very strong sprint performance and some excellent runs by clan Smith (Wil, Mike and Katta) in the long. Very very impressed with Wil's performance but he did his homework too and got out to this unique terrain several times this year.

Tomorrow we're off to the 'fast terrain' but given that people were running sub 7 min/km here they could likely go sub 6 at Nemo.

Rocky Ridge vet and take down.
Great weather and a fantastic job by mique mixing the tunes made for a great atmosphere at the finish. People had trouble in the very challenging terrain but there were some excellent performances as well - Johnny F. in particular.

Emma and Fiona both ran well on the challenging course#1.

Strength 15:00 [1]

Leg strength training cut short by a Greenpeace canvasing guy ringing the door bell. I spent longer debating with this guy than I did training today but it has been too long (6 or 7 years?) since the last time a GP guy came around the house looking for money and the first since the Kyoto Protocol signing so I enjoyed the debate (not that he knew that much).

Final changes to the MAC map ($*&$^*^ construction) and sprint courses.

Orienteering 1:00:00 [2]

MAC Sprint set, vet and take down. Great race and good performances by Pither (Champion), Sudden and Snoop.

Very glad how well the race turned out given all the changes that had to be made.
