Was supposed to go to Killarney for 4-5 days tomorrow to snowshoe and stay in a yurt. Adventure Girl! gets to go with GHO Slo who are making another one of their presentations on these:

Hard Core Mondays.

Had a lot of fun at the Snowshoe Raid and AdventureGirl! said she wanted to run in the 2008 NAOC so I decided to set a goal for the year myself - and since I can't even run yet this goal is a big one.

Goal for 2008: Enter, 'run' and complete the 2008 NAOC middle distance. Sprint is probably too fast for me. Long is too long so will try for the middle. Not sure which category and not sure how I will train the technical (or when) but I need something to inspire me and cycling just ain't it. We'll see how this goes. So I have 7 months to get into shape! Also this will allow me to set-up training for GHO Canada GHO to prep for the race. Not even sure the terrain will be OK for my knee but even if I have to walk it, I need (and want) to do this race.

Salomon Snowshoe Raid with AdventureGirl! (count 50%)

AG! navigated to all but two of the checkpoints herself. Lots of fun - especially sliding down the hill near#20.

I'm always amazed how awesome the terrain is at Horseshoe.

This race is an absolute 'to do' race each year.
