Orienteering race 1:06:00 [4] 8.5 km (7:46 / km)

O event at Riverhead HQ... great terrain, map & courses. Tough and green by Woodhill standards. Wasn't trying too hard - seemed to get into a good headspace and things just kinda went well. Thought I'd blown the big route choice leg, but wound up with the fastest split :P Errors on #3 (haven't figured out what went wrong yet), #4 (parallel error), #11 (lost focus - drifting on a leg that demanded more attention) & #15 (allowing other runners to distract me... focus and discipline). But... the other 15 controls I am happy with.
Legs were good, heart & lungs good (av HR 153... so maybe thats something for me to consider... whats my HR:Nav threshold?)

New X-Talons were the grippy business.

Pleased with speed and accuracy until #21 where a map management error (switched to #23 on leg #21) got me terribly confused and cost me two minutes! FFS... Anyway... good fun.

No big blow out second time around, then again I wasn't pushing as hard.
