Freezing my hands off chasing the ladies at the clinic round Vic Park. So so cold. Was a bit of a wakeup call for some of the girls in regards to their gear. So glad Nora convinced me to let her drop me home afterwards instead of riding back down.
Really didn't want to run today as my achillies was saying hello but I had already told Shayden I'd take him for an adventure so yep, that's what happened. From bowenvale up the valley and round the back of the sugar loaf and those hills then back down through Vic Park. He loved it. Luckily he was struggling on the uphills so it wasn't too much strain on my achilles at that point but it wasn't ideal.

Early morning hill repeats up the bottom half of Rapaki (x2) then a detour to get home again. Feeling extremely sleepy so not very fast but I put in the effort.
Some hilarity on the tandem with M riding up Whaka Terrace (holy moly that's steep!) and some other random climbs and all that. Poor M got some serious cramp though :-(
From work up Huntsbury to the rogaine. Feeling good on the bike but supremely anxious about coaching.

Taking an awesome bunch of ladies round the night rogaine. One of them fell off a cliff which was a rather hair-raising experience but she was fine and laughed a lot. I hope they have an awesome time at Spring Challenge. Greatly admired their team work, spirit and courage to try something well out of their comfort zone.

From the rogaine up Huntsbury and down Rapaki. Was nice to be alone in the quiet of the night.
From Orton Bradley up Mt Herbert then round the back of Mt Bradley which was quite terrifying as it had turned into a ridiculously slippery ice skating rink. Took me forever but I made it to the Packhorse in one piece...just. Felt a bit tired by then from being so tense but didn't stop for too long as I was rather cold. Did another loop through the tracks at the bottom at the end. Really must run out here more often...preferably when it's not so icy.
