10 AM

Run 1:03:52 [3]
shoes: Merrell Allout Rush (#4)

From Bowenvale up through Vic Park and down the zig zag and old Bowenvale downhill. Calves were so awful and tight I ended up having to walk the entire uphill and change my plan. Feeling pretty miserable and sucky and panicky about how sucky I'm feeling.

Strength and Conditioning 2:30:00 [3]
shoes: SH-WM43

More MTBO course checking at Bottle Lake before getting myself lost with my super out of date map and no compass and suddenly feeling really faint. Had to bike back and leave M to finish up while I cowered in the car. What the hell is wrong with me?

MTB 1:40:00 [3]
shoes: SH-WM43

Checking out control sites and making gps tracks to fix the mapping out at Bottle Lake. Feeling okay I guess but not brilliant.

Note
(rest day)

Stayed home and slept in with the cat. Not really sick. Just rundown and feeling all weird.

Thursday Apr 7, 2016 #

5 AM

Run intervals 1:21:22 [4]
shoes: Merrell Allout Rush (#2)

Over to Rapaki then the usual 3x intervals up to the flat section (1 from the bottom and 2 from the track start). Feeling absolutely awful especially for the 1st one. I probably should have either turned around and gone home or just had a gentle run but I was too stubborn. Then was too stubborn to go home once I got to work. Sigh. So rundown. So not a surprise.

You know, lounging on the floor with the cat and all that.
