Road Bike 1:51:00 [3]
shoes: Louis Garneau Revo XR

Up Dyers, along the tops and down to Sumner to have hot drinks (and vegan banana bread!!!!!) at Coffee Culture just so I could really fall into the 'dumb cyclist' category my workmates seem to think all us cyclists are (and to warm up - it was so ridiculously cold). Then home, obviously! Thrashing out some good (i.e. feeling like throwing up) intervals heading up to the kiwi and then on the climbs along the tops.

Note

Was going to go mtbing but firstly I hadn't managed to make any progress in my work and then I couldn't go out because I was making progress! Anyway, where has summer gone? I thought we had another couple of weeks to go until the chill returned :-(
4 PM

Road Bike 42:00 [3]
shoes: SH-WM43

On the tandem with M out to see Stephanie finish the Coast to Coast (SO impressed! She's amazing!) and back again. 21 minutes each way which clearly meant the way there was much longer since we were going hard in order not to miss her finish! Freezing cold!

Run 2:21:00 [3]
shoes: Merrell Allout Rush

From Sumner up to above Taylors Mistake, along the tops and down the valley and partway home. Horrible soul-crushing headwind/crosswind/all-over-the-place wind most of the way home (especially on the steep climb up from Evans Pass) which reduced me to a walk a few times 'cause I was too frustrated or kept being blown off the track. Left foot was a bit niggly some of the time. Was okay for the last hour though and fine now. But my wrist is stupidly sore which is just weird since what does a wrist have to do with running?

Walk warm up/down 12:00 [2]
shoes: Merrell Allout Rush

Walking home along the river the rest of the way as a warmdown and because I hate the concrete. Naturally there isn't even a breath of wind down here. It's not fair!

Run 1:28:35 [3]
shoes: Merrell Allout Rush

From SOT up and round abouts on the top. Found a lower track round Coronation Hill Reserve which was exciting. Was a junction halfway round which looked like perhaps it could go down to Governers Bay or perhaps just to the hairpin. Had already been out longer than intended by this point so didn't go checked it out. Running okay despite feeling tired from yesterday but my stomach was stabbing me which is not good and also weird. On a bright note, my iron is now in good spirits.

Road Bike warm up/down 28:00 [3]
shoes: Louis Garneau Revo XR

Out to the TT with the delicious tail wind.
6 PM

Road Bike race 25:37 [5] 16.0 km (1:36 / km)
shoes: Louis Garneau Revo XR

Horrible strong headwind on the way back. Was soul destroying. Just tried to push as hard as possible and not throw up.
7 PM

Road Bike warm up/down 34:00 [3]
shoes: Louis Garneau Revo XR

Into the headwind on the way home. Exhausting.
