Training Log Archive: Vaala

Cruising from home up and down and round about. Not at all what I had planned but at least I did manage to get myself out for a run.
Not long now...

Cruising along on the tandem from home up Dyers to Gibralter Rock with Emily and her friend who then turned around. We continued hooning down the Basdrat and round the harbour to Lyttelton (we encountered Joe on the way so there was some serious hooning going on at one point and we all were suitably exhausted). Then did some serious eating with Jana and Clare while the blustery stuff got real blustery. Jana got a bit concerned so opted to get picked up while we tootled back round the bays and up Dyers with Clare. It was hot and not particularly blustery at all. Stopped at the kiwi where we said goodbye (and gossiped for ages in the sunshine) to Clare then did some more hooning to get home again. Time is rather approximate of our biking time. It was a nice time. It was hot!

With M from home partway up Huntsbury and back. We were going to go for a short run in the hills but time was running away from us with people visiting and calling. Couldn't be out too late since there was serious cake eating to be done at Beat Street. I did eat some vegetables too though.

The usual Mt Pleasant to Sumner loop with M on the tandem. Awesome night for riding although the wind was just starting to pick up as we turned down onto Evans Pass.

Nice little run from Taylors Mistake with M. Brick-like cycling legs tonight which made it all a bit exhausting! Such a calm, warm night.

Up Huntsbury into the wind (delightful) then along the road to the road closure just past the Bridle Path and back then down Rapaki to home. Was tempted to ride Witch Hill but yeah, really can't afford to fall off just now! Only one more week till we can escape winter...yay!!!!!!!!
