9 AM

Road Bike 1:08:00 [3]
(injured) shoes: Louis Garneau Revo XR

Most of the way up Mt Pleasant (the steep way?) on the tandem with M but we were running out of time so couldn't go quite to the top. Amazing morning.
11 AM

Road Bike 6:00 [3]
(injured) shoes: Louis Garneau Revo XR

Racing my bike back from Holliss to home. Pretty sore on my wrist so lucky it wasn't far!

Note

Moving day - certainly NOT a rest day!

6 PM

MTB 1:02:00 [3]
(injured) shoes: Louis Garneau Monte Rosa MTB

From the old house up Rapaki (thighs still burning from Tuesday but the time trials must be doing something 'cause I could still push hard...never even had to resort to the lowest gear on the middle up Rapaki), around Mt Vernon and then back and down Farm Track to the new house. Hot hot hot!

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Thought I should probably have the night off since it's a big week of madness.

7 PM

Run 1:00:03 [3]
(injured) shoes: Altra Lone Peak 1.5

Nice little run up the Bowenvale valley and down through Vic Park. Legs were feeling a bit, ummm, achy which I will forgive them for but otherwise was feeling good. Been a big day so was nice to get out in the hills. I did not expect to be already in charge of designing a big (i.e. expensive) website by my second day of work!

5 PM

Road Bike warm up/down 55:00 [3]
(injured) shoes: Louis Garneau Revo XR

Warmup (tandeming with M of course) out to the Blue Duck.
6 PM

Road Bike race (Blue Duck Hill Climb) 45:46 [4] 16.0 km (2:52 / km)
(injured) shoes: Louis Garneau Revo XR

The Blue Duck hill climb time trial from the Blue Duck Cafe (funnily enough) up Gebbies and the Basdrat and along the summit Rd till just after Kennedys. One tough ride but no one from behind passed us which was quite impressive. Was sure riders would easily pass us on the steep climb bits. We even managed to thrash Emily!! On the last little climb my legs pretty much gave up...luckily we were almost there by then. Still to be confirmed, but we now hold the tandem record for the hill climb! Oh yeah :-P
7 PM

Road Bike warm up/down 15:00 [1]
(injured) shoes: Louis Garneau Revo XR

Back home from the finish with Emily. Mostly cruising down hill really! Such a cool evening.

Run 25:53 [3]
(injured) shoes: Altra Lone Peak 1.5

Cruising round the neighbourhood getting some fresh air and trying to remain calm! Shoes felt fantastic and they aren't even road shoes! Will be interesting to see what they are like off road.
