(injured) (sick) shoes: Louis Garneau Monte Rosa MTB

Cruising round McLeans Island with Michael. SO exciting to be back on the bike in some capacity and it went better than expected. Have some problems with my right thumb though as it is quite unresponsive making changing down gears incredibly hard, almost to the point of not really possible. All not helped by the fact my wrist doesn't bend much. Changing up is okay - in comparison.

I've come to the conclusion that my body has it in for me around school holiday time...second batch of holidays and this time I get struck with the endless stomach bug. By the way, has anyone ever tried to drink 4 litres of water (not my idea...just the doctor's orders)? So far I've only managed just over 2 and I think you could prick me with a pin and I'd explode like a giant wave swamping the city!

Still feeling weird..I think it could be some strange stomach bug...maybe. But I don't really know what's going on.
Had another hospital appointment today and they seemed happy with the progress which is good because it is seeming so ridiculously slow.

Yeah it was on the road just over to Emily's and back but still...I WAS ON A BIKE!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, just mild excitement! The wrist strapping the physio shows me seems good but I was wobbly as anything on the way there. Much better on the way back. Hoping we can get out to Macleans Island for a ride soooooonnnn...I never thought I'd be excited about riding out there but desperate times call for desperate measures! Ultimate goal before Spring Challenge is to be able to ride down the 4wd tracks through Vic Park. If my wrist could handle that without too much pain by mid September I would be so happy. Fingers crossed...

With Emily up one of the tracks from Albert Tce onto Farm Track to the top of Mt Vernon and back down Huntsbury. Muddy and slippery with howling wind and rain most of the time...excellent, freezing fun! Felt super sluggish although my legs felt fine. Still feeling this weird sick thing I guess. No idea what's going on. But the delicious hot chocolate afterwards was quite good!
