Nice little ride with Michael up to SOK where we met Carsten (so I got a little rest) before heading along the Summit Road and down to Gebbies. Out to Purau then back to Diamond Harbour for milkshakes and a nice relaxing ferry trip across to Lyttelton. Then, after a rather delicious vegan pie, we had a delightful ride back to Governers Bay then over Dyers Pass to home. The climb up from Governers was, ummm, extremely hot. Actually feeling way better and stronger than I expected, especially on the last climb. Practicing consistency today. Did pretty well at this. Yay! And my descents felt pretty good too.
Mapometer seems to think it was about 1803 metres of climb over the 59km. Dunno. It was a lot anyway...lucky I like climbing.
