Orienteering race (Parimanui) 2:09:47 [3] 6.4 km (20:17 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 Roclite-285

I tried so hard to win the Lanterne Rouge certificate I'd made for W21E, even managing a very impressive 20 minutes on the final control but it just wasn't to be. Unfortunately I still managed to beat Jana. Damn!
Totally went in the out of bounds area trying to get to #2 in the bush but when you haven't got a clue where you are, well, you have no idea that you're in it!

Orienteering race (Tekapo) 46:56 [3] 4.3 km (10:55 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 Roclite-285

Pretty easy course but I did manage to read a depression as a hill at #3 so despite seeing the control I continued to look for the non existent hill a couple of minutes and then did a brilliant 180 at #8. Luckily I realised after 2 or 3 minutes before tearing off down the track. Was very lazy in all the green forest and mostly sort of walked/ambled.

MTB 1:10:00 [3]
shoes: Louis Garneau Monte Rosa MTB

Nice little ride with Michael up Cowans Hill and along the single track in the forest we'd just orienteered in. Managed to sneak in between rain showers. In fact it even got quite warm.

Note

Wandering round putting out controls and running the start. Exhausted.

Run 52:11 [3]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Ascend 6

A slightly shorter version of my usual Bowenvale valley loop. My foot started feeling a bit sore on the way home which wasn't so good.

Rogaine race (R&R Sport Wicked Rogaine) 1:59:30 [3]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Ascend 6

Event 1: Vic Park.
With Michael. Fairly good route. Managed to do our entire plan, missing out just 90 points (3 controls). Headed out anticlockwise which did mean the nice big climb up from the valley to finish but easy controls. First half felt a bit rough. Climbing with hands and feet up to #101. Rather steep! I think I have developed hayfever though which is, well, not so good. But Michael seems to be allergic to the grass which is even worse. He had swollen eyes and very red legs by the end.
But anyway, we bet Tim and Jana. Yeah :)
