Note

We were going to go for a paddle in the afternoon but Michael was a bit lazy and it was grey and started to rain so we had a nice lazy afternoon instead.
11 AM

Run warm up/down 15:00 [3]
shoes: Inov-8 Flyroc 310

Jog up the hill through the forest to the clearing and back down again afterwards.

Orienteering 1:15:00 [3]
shoes: Inov-8 Flyroc 310

Michael set us a little course through the forest and we plodded our way round through the lovely flat, white forest (haha...although it is lovely). My orienteering is a bit hopeless though...

MTB 1:45:00 [3]
shoes: Louis Garneau Monte Rosa MTB

Through the forest with Michael and Jess. Biked the whole way apart from stumbling over a root although we did rake a track with our hands so I would attempt the downhill...then I had to go and do it again! It was (mostly) good fun. Then we went and had fun moving some cattle. Was quite exciting once we got them where they were supposed to go!

Run 1:33:10 [3] 13.76 km (6:46 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 Flyroc 310

Awesome little run through the bush on some of my favourite tracks. Surprised myself by finding a track I don't think I've ever been on. Got a bit misplaced in places for the first half since I was running just anywhere and then would think, hmmm, where am I and look at the map and get a bit confused. Good for relocation!! I think I had quite an old map though...

MTB 35:00 [3]
shoes: Louis Garneau Monte Rosa MTB

First time on the mtb since ARC and I thought I would suck but actually I felt pretty good, even on the steep stuff although it was a very quick blat because it wasn't far of 5pm. Didn't want to finish! Had the map in my back pocket and no compass and managed to get quite confused at the edge of the maze when I wasn't paying attention. I really should do some track raking at some point though.

Note
(rest day)

I thought since I was planning a busy few days that I would have a bit of a rest but I did walk to the letterbox and back...which isn't quite as lazy as it sounds...but close!

Road Bike 30:00 [3]
shoes: Louis Garneau Revo XR

To and from the gym. No rain! But it was cold and I was wearing a polypro and a jacket. Oh, and gloves. Which reminds me, I really need full fingered cycling gloves.
6 AM

Peloton (Spin) class intervals 45:00 [4]
shoes: Louis Garneau Revo XR

My last Wednesday class with Maria. Sad. But class was fun.
6 PM

Climbing (indoor - lead) 2:00:00 [3]
shoes: Five Ten Anasazi Verde

At Extreme Edge with Chris. I wasn't feeling very strong tonight so didn't do the epic overhangs but did do 3 smaller ones which weren't too bad although the black one is pretty physical and scary for a short overhang. It's kinda weird because it is a pretty easy top rope climb but when you have to climb in hanging out like that it's so hard! Then we lead climbed up a much more technical straight climb which was terrifying. Again, easy to top rope but so hard to lead although it was mostly psychological in this instance. Did a couple of great top rope climbs too. Loving climbing right now.

Road Bike 30:00 [3]
shoes: Louis Garneau Revo XR

A nice little wet ride to and from the gym. Nearly got wiped out twice by cars on the way there which was a bit unpleasant though.
6 AM

Run warm up/down 23:16 [2]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6

To the fields and partway across to warm up (12:05) then back to the gym via the lower road (11:11). It was a crawl back which I guess meant I went hard.

Run intervals 20:00 [5]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6

Did the Moneghetti intervals again but this time around the tracks through the bush in the Domain because it is temporarily light enough for a little while. Pretty much died especially by about halfway through the 60 second ones. Also tried to up the speed of the recoveries so they were more like a normal run but that got progressively harder. Good fun though...once it was over!

Note
(rest day)

Feeling decidedly average all day. It is also depressing how familiar the airport has become.
