Orienteering race (South Brighton) 25:00 [4]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5

Red 2 (can't find my printout things so just approx time). I offically suck...did a 180 on a park map to the first control! Once I was going the right way though I still couldn't find it! Oh well, it was a good laugh and I quite enjoyed noticing I could run fairly fast...I just couldn't orienteer although I like to blame the map :P

Orienteering race (South Brighton) 20:00 [4]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5

Red 1 (again, just an approx time). Who's idea was it that we were supposed to do 2 of these courses?! Started off okay 'cause I actually found the first control without too much trouble. Had a bad patch where I went to #3 before #2 and then stuffed up another couple before finally getting it together for the end!

Climbing (indoor - TR) 2:30:00 [3]
shoes: Red Chili Spirit Lady

Climbing at The Roxx with Brent. Mostly on the textured wall which I'm no longer afraid of. Not climbing too badly really. Didn't want to stop but had too much to do. Hopefully we'll be back tomorrow.

Walk 5:00:00 [3]
shoes: Inov-8 Flyroc 310

Along part of the Crater Rim Walkway with Brent. We started at Castle Rock (?) and just walked until Brent thought it would be a good idea to turn back so we didn't have to walk in the dark. It was beautifully sunny but rather crisp. Awesome scenery but my legs didn't enjoy the journey home. I'm not a very good walker!

Run (treadmill) 30:00 [4]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5

Starting at 12 and upping the speed every 5 minutes then 5 minutes back down at 12 to warm down. Started off feeling pretty stiff up the backs of my calves but that went away once I'd got into the flow of things. I still hate the treadmill though and I'm still afraid I'm going to go flying off the back when I go fast.

Gym (leg weights and core) 45:00 [3]

1 set of the single leg weights and the stair jumps then some core stuff. Definitely stronger.

Peloton (Spin) class intervals 45:00 [5]
shoes: Louis Garneau Monte Rosa MTB

I wanted more hills but Maria was obviously in sprint mode this morning so we only got a couple of hill tracks (although I made the most of those by cranking up the resistance and doing most of the climbing sitting down instead of standing like everyone else).

Gym (arm weights and core) 25:00 [3]

My shoulder seems better now (but I found some more bruises on my legs!).

Run warm up/down 18:00 [2]
shoes: Inov-8 Roclite 285

12 minute warmup, 6 minute warmdown.

Run intervals (Domain Off-road Loops) 34:00 [4]
shoes: Inov-8 Roclite 285

3 laps of the new off-road loop with 2 minute recoveries. I like getting to wear my offroad shoes 'cause it feels more natural running in them and I like not running on the road. This is way more fun. Was pretty slippery but that was the idea. Times got faster as it got lighter (the first time up through the trees I couldn't really see the roots so was taking it fairly slow). Definitely heaps of room for improvement though.

Times were 10:22, 10:08, 9:57.

Run 51:09 [3]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5

Cruising round Parnell and Ponsonby with a few hills (you can't really avoid them even if you wanted) - Basset, Portland and Ayr Street. Feeling okay but sore 'cause I discovered all this bruising on my legs. Was so nice to be outside running.

Gym (core and stretches) 15:00 [3]

6 PM

Climbing (indoor - TR) 1:45:00 [3]
shoes: Red Chili Spirit Lady

At Extreme Edge with Chris. Feeling a bit unmotivated...head on another planet, hands and feet felt so cold and stepping up high on my right leg felt weird so I must have done something there on Saturday. But I still made it up some 19s so it wasn't too bad.
