Note

Moving day. Was a bit hung over for anything this morning and then spent the entire rest of the day moving and unpacking. Felt like a serious workout.

Started about three quarters of the way back with Kylie, Lisa and their group which was not so good as I spent most of the first lap trying to get past people. So many people walking up the hills and blocking the way so you had to walk behind them which made you lose momentum. Got swamped by one guy when I was in one of the mud pools and he jumped in next to me...felt like a tidal wave going over my head! Second lap was better as it was really spread out and I passed a few more people...until we caught up with the 6km guys who were picking their way over everything. I was ahead of a couple of girls until right near the end when I took a stupid decision to jump into the stream (it was neck deep by this point) and they went round and got ahead. Damn! I would have been 3rd if I'd done what they did but had to settle for 5th girl. Good fun and not really that tough to be honest.

Lots of hills and lots of seated climbing...just what I like. Feeling okay but a little stiff.

In need of some serious fresh air after packing till very late the night before and then working all day at home. The sun was amazing. I realised that this was probably my last jaunt up in One Tree Hill before I move which is quite sad...

15 minutes warmup and then 25 minutes warmdown and run down to the bottom of the domain by the tennis courts, back up for a hill, back down again and then back to the gym via the bush track. Too muddy to do the usual hill sprints (not really much point if I'm slipping and sliding up that hill).

3 laps of the usual with 3 - 3 1/2 minute recoveries. Not really feeling faster as such (although I am actually going faster) but it doesn't feel quite so painful in my lungs anymore when I push that hard which is pretty awesome. Now it just feels like my legs could do with turning over a bit quicker! The last leg always surprises me because it feels the slowest but is usually the same or quicker than the others.

Lincoln must have stayed up for the football this morning 'cause class was a bit shorter than normal. Shame 'cause I was feeling quite energised!

Running off some steam...increasing speed by 0.5 every 2 1/2 minutes.
