Walk 50:00 [2]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 3

Physically I was feeling great and like doing something but mentally was not good at all so figured fresh air was good but anything more than a walk was not. Did feel marginally better afterwards.

Run race (Coastal Classic) 46:20 [2] 6.0 km (7:43 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 Flyroc 310

Cruising round the short course as support for my cousin Debbie. It was her first ever running race and she did amazing by running almost the whole way. So proud. Afterwards I was itching to go for a run but we blobbed out instead which was probably good for me. Would love to do one of the long courses next year...looks like heaps of fun.

5 AM

Run warm up/down 20:04 [2] 4.0 km (5:01 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5

To the gym. Damn, could have easily knocked that 4 seconds off but was just cruising and didn't look at my watch 'cause I assumed I was slow.
6 AM

Peloton (Spin) class intervals 50:00 [5]
shoes: Louis Garneau Monte Rosa MTB

The last of the "heart rate" classes. Super tough and then he decided we'd have an extra track to finish off which pretty much killed me!
7 AM

Run long 1:27:07 [3]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5

The 4 volcano loop home from the gym. Felt really tough to start with 'cause I'd killed my legs at spin but it got easier after Mt Hobson. There were moments when I thought I wasn't gonna make it and I was going to have to resort to walking up some of the summits but just dug it in...no stopping except for traffic and admiring the view at the top of each summit. Best recovery so far afterwards though.

Run warm up/down (treadmill) 10:00 [2]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4

Gym (weights and core) 1:15:00 [3]

Felt super tough today.

6 AM

Run warm up/down (treadmill) 23:00 [2]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5

10 minute warmup, 13 minute warm down.

Run intervals (treadmill) 20:00 [5]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5

3 x 4 minute sets and 1 x 2 1/2 minute with 1 1/2 - 2 minutes inbetween. At a faster speed than last week and it was pretty good so might try even faster next time but shorter sets...maybe. The guy on the treadmill next to me said I inspired him to push himself harder. Nice to know I was useful in some way!

Gym (core and stretches) 20:00 [3]

Note

Saw the dietitian again today and made some modifications. Hopefully a bit more manageable. I hate salt but it looks like I have to learn to like it.
6 AM

Run warm up/down (treadmill) 10:00 [2]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4

Gym (weights and core) 1:10:00 [3]

Feeling sluggish and a bit down.
6 PM

Orienteering race (SS Ellerslie Racecourse) 46:30 [3] 7.4 km (6:17 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4

Slow! Kept running right past the control a couple of times...silly. And should have been planning ahead more. But it was fun and although I was slow my legs felt pretty good. I was a good girl and followed the dietitian's orders afterwards too. I should get brownie points!

Peloton (Spin) class intervals 45:00 [5]
shoes: Louis Garneau Monte Rosa MTB

Another 'heartrate" class so followed the same format as Friday. Awesome although my legs felt a little jaded by the end. Nice to see my mood has swung round a little again.

Gym (core and stretches) 15:00 [2]
