Orienteering race (OY5 - Woodhill) 1:09:09 [3] 6.8 km (10:10 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 Roclite 285

Mostly okay apart from screwing up a nice, easy control (#10) where I just wasn't paying enough attention. Felt good and the forest was beautiful. I loved the short legs amongst all the knolls at the end - that was good fun.

Run 54:00 [2]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4

Cruisey run round OTH with Cameron - the dirt track and a loop round the road. He was a bit slower than usual and totally died in the last half and it was tough to keep him moving. We managed a good sprint from the park back to my place at the end though.

Walk 1:00:00 [1]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 3

Round OTH and up to the summit with Kiri. She'd never been to the summit before. Had eaten a little too much waffle beforehand so wasn't feeling that great but the day was so beautiful.

Peloton (Spin) class intervals 45:00 [4]
shoes: Louis Garneau Monte Rosa MTB

Tough class this morning. Legs survived better than expected as they were pretty tight from yesterday. Unfortunately the right pedal came loose on my shoe in the sprint so had to pull back to keep my foot from slipping out.

Rowing Machine warm up/down 8:49 [4] 2.0 km (4:25 / km)

Tough work especially trying to have a conversation through part of it! Arms and shoulder felt pretty dead afterwards.

Gym (weights and core) 1:00:00 [3]

Arms and abs were tough, legs were okay...but I noticed they're covered in bruises (especially the knees) from climbing on Tuesday. Was in a good mood this morning for once.

Run 49:40 [3] 9.2 km (5:24 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4

From the gym round Remuera...same as my usual route except up Portland Rd instead of Victoria Ave. I always forget how steep that road is. My shoulder was aching after 5 minutes which wasn't good and I felt a bit sluggish but it was okay. Felt great to be outside in the quiet of the morning though.

Climbing 2:30:00 [3]

At Extreme Edge with Chris and his army flatmate Haydn who showed us how it's done! Perhaps not the best idea we decided to tackle an overhang on climb 3 'cause my body was dead after that (okay, it was dead once I was about a metre up that 3rd climb trying to hoist myself over the damn overhang!). Got a fair amount of bruising on my knees and shins from falling and slamming into the wall. Good fun though. Andy was there too which was real awesome as I haven't seen him in ages. Good to see him looking so well.

Peloton (Spin) class intervals 45:00 [4]
shoes: Louis Garneau Monte Rosa MTB

Didn't sleep well, woke up way too early and felt too anxious and awake to attempt to get back to sleep so got up for class. Body didn't feel too bad at all really which was rather surprising since I felt a bit achey yesterday. No doubt it will all kick in again as usual later today.

Gym (Core and Stretches) 25:00 [3]

What was supposed to be a gentle 10 minute thing turned into something way more exhausting when Alex came over and changed all my core exercises to make them way harder. Damn it.
