Orienteering race (OY2 - Plantation Farm) 1:40:50 [3] 6.07 km (16:37 / km)

ARGH!!! Sometimes I really can not orienteer my way out of a paper bag. 2 shockingly bad controls. #4, well I have no idea how but I must have run straight past it. Hmmm, seems like I did the same thing for #7 except I got so confused despite being in exactly the right place. Thought I must be somewhere else so tried to correct then realised I'd been right all along but hadn't seen the damn control. Went back, felt stink. Other than that it was fine. But I can't understand how I possibly missed #7.

Probably the toughest class I've been too plus I went hard out despite my thighs still burning a bit from the hills in the weekend. SO tired afterwards but good.

To and from appointment. 25 minutes there 'cause I took a bad route choice. 20 minutes home where I also took a stupid route choice but it was fast (didn't really want to be on such a busy road but obviously I still survived). Felt way more confident than last time I did this. Obviously practice helps.

Had a fitness test today which I've been putting off for ages. Of course I was going to do real well so I don't know why I was convinced I was going to do crap and was so worried about it.

Round the Domain tracks then a loop out to Parnell and up Ayr Street. Took it fairly gently apart from pushing up Ayr Street to catch and pass the other runner. Started pouring with rain on my way up though so was difficult to see as the rain was getting in my eyes.
