Gym - Cardio 55:00 [3]

Yeah, so my foot is still not feeling that good. Did rowing, exercycle and cross trainer. Definately doesn't have the same appeal as being outside but is better than doing nothing especially as they don't hurt my foot at all.

Rowing Machine 9:13 [4] 2.0 km (4:37 / km)

I must have been feeling the need to vent for me to keep up such a good pace.

Gym (Weights) 1:05:00 [3]

My arms feel heavy.

Note

My foot hurt this morning so I'll take some days off running and see how I am on Tuesday.

Run hills 56:00 [3] 9.85 km (5:41 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel 2120

I like running up hills for some bizzare reason but I still hate the hill up to Musick Pt the most even if it is the least steep...perhaps that's why it's so painful!

Rowing Machine 9:27 [4] 2.0 km (4:44 / km)

Managed to keep below 2.25min/500m the whole way which was pretty good. Felt wasted by the end.

Gym (Weights) 1:00:00 [4]

The new leg exercises are tough. My right leg is constantly lagging. Increased the weight on the chest press. Pull ups improving along with general arm strength. My left shoulder hasn't felt so heavy lately.

Run 55:00 [3] 9.35 km (5:53 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel 2120

Feeling pretty good apart from the odd twinge in my foot but I don't really like running in the dark 'cause I feel unco.

Note

Gotta make sure I watch how I tie up my bootlaces at ice skating tonight so I don't kill my feet again. How do you tie your boots up as tight as you can but not too tight so you don't hurt your feet? Hmmm, an interesting dilemma.

Ice Skating 2:00:00 [3]

I appear to have lost one of my decent possum gloves so had to use budget Glassons fingerless ones so the tips of my fingers felt like ice. Balance was great tonight. We did some work on the deadly turn but I kinda freaked out at really giving it a go. Turning to my left is much wobblier than my right. Backwards C pushes getting there (got all the way to the other end of the rink several times). Feet hurt again afterwards but not too bad and my knees ached. Gotta relax more.

Run long (Ponsonby) 1:34:00 [3] 15.4 km (6:06 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel 2120

Felt really stiff after the session yesterday (probably mostly from the damn push ups). A pretty slow run but I probably couldn't have pushed much harder even if I tried! Funnily enough I didn't feel nearly so stiff by the end of the run (although that could be only temporary!) but the final hill up Williamson Ave from the park felt like a killer even though it's only a gradual incline.

Rowing Machine 9:26 [4] 2.0 km (4:43 / km)

Like last time I started crap and improved heaps on the last 1000m. Now I've just gotta be able to keep it up for the whole 2000m. Considering I was trying to hold a conversation with my physio at the same time I could probably dig in a little more!

Gym (Weights) 1:00:00 [4]

The physio added in some leg exercises and we discovered that my right leg is nearly 1cm narrower than my left which must be because of that major injury a few years ago at Rainbow's End. Plus he's got me doing pushups (no girly ones allowed either!). Yeah, this morning was tough and my arms feel all wobbly now.

Note

Feeling stiff all over after the new exercises from the physio this morning especially in my upper arms. Everything feels sore and a bit wobbly!
