Morning shuffle. Did a bit of a faster bit up the stairs (and got a CR...yessss!) but nearly threw up at the top. Not ideal. Then cruised the rest of the way.

From the house to Long Bay (I got lost so it was further than it should have been!) then along various tracks out to the Okura River and back. Felt so tight and sluggish but managed to keep myself going. The views were nice and it was quite novel to be in a tshirt and shorts and still a bit warm but I'm glad I don't live up here any more...even if they do have vegan doughnuts.

It's hard work eating all the food (vegan doughnuts!!!) and playing with babies. Actually, it is hard work tossing babies around. Trying to pretend that it doesn't hurt my wrist but actually had to retreat to my room to silently scream for a while.

Arrived at Zeros at 6:07pm after waiting for M who decided, at the last minute, that he wanted to come. No one was there, so after a quick debate we drove out to Halswell and went for a nice little run there. How is M so fast with no running?

Round Bottle Lake with M because we were too pansy to do the MTBO at Macleans Island. It was still freezing. My right thumb was too frozen to change down gears very often (and definitely with no speed) which was a bit awkward.

Quick little blat up the valley from McCormacks Bay on my way home from being social. Feeling pretty good and pretty happy to be out and running - it's a very pretty, fun little valley.

With Lara from Lyttelton. It was cold and quite a lot was covered in slippery slippery snow or slick mud. We found some awesome tracks though. Feeling so much better and it was awesome to have company.

Wednesday night run where we got dropped so quick by the non rogainers! Tootled up the Harry Ell then onto Old Dyers and down Latters Spur. Cold. My foot seems okay as long as it doesn't land on a particular angle. Achillies is a little tight but a lot better than I expected. But it was all like my body had completely forgotten how to run or like I'd never run before in my life. Kinda weird!
